I've been trying to convince the AD and the coach to recruit Arkansas for 9 years! They just don't want to listen? If you went to Jonesboro, you were in North East Arkansas.....I live in Northwest Arkansas......if anyone comes up this way, give a shout and let's do lunch/drinks!

Woody should be our QB. He played HS at Fayetteville High School, in Arkansas.......great competition there.....was recuiting out of HS to play at Arkansas...did not make the grades....went to the CC ....DM didn't show me anything last year and JB doesn't have his academics together??? So, lets see what he can do! GO MEAN GREEN !

Or...if you live in Arkansas, it is now a LAW that students get a college degree in 4 years and have to sign on the dotted line. It's null and void if they change majors, but if they don't then the State schools have to "guarantee" that the student gets their degree in 4 years (8 semesters). Wonder if this would ever happen in Texas? GO MEAN GREEN

Sounds like the Memphis Tigers are the next logical choices. I would prefer East Carolina, but the Big East has never liked the Pirates. If Memphis goes to the BE, then UNT to C-USA?

I would think that UNO will join the Southland Conference? Good Luck with UNO. My friend is the director of their hospitality program...they had over 700 students...now it's cut in half.....funding and support are horrible. Even though his house was not affected, my friend just started receiving mail last week. I wish them well! GO MEAN GREEN !

I moved to Springdale Arkansas 2 years ago, and watching this coach is freaking amazing. He had the number 1 rated QB in the nation, and ended up finishing 2nd in nation in several categories.......got a lot of the offense to sign with Arkansas.....wish we would recruit in Arkansas.....look out for next year, Siloh Christian High School (not sure if I spelled it right) will be in the top 10 nationally.....also from Springdale, AR. According to my "favorite teams" on ESPN ....they list UNT to play FIU on Oct 15th, also that we beat Pittsburgh State 70-0. When I clicked on the score, another team showed up! Well, at least we WON ! GO MEAN GREEN !

All of my students know where I graduated from...the Dean knows.....the front desk staff knows (I teach at a hotel on U of A's campus)......they see my school flag in my office, my screensavers, my mouse pad......my class ring......everyone knows! Back home in North Carolina, we are proud of the college(s) we represent....brother went to Penn State.....and would never think of graduating from North Texas and being a Texas fan.....just doesn't happen. I have a degree from UNT in Hospitality Management. I am an Instructor in Hospitality (Food & Beverage) at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and have extensive F & B background for 25-30 years. I think everyone here on this board will always be a MEAN GREEN supporter.......however, the team didn't look like a team......if CUSA is our next step up....then we really need to step it up! Good crowd at the game, and just think, we could still be K-STATE....GO MEAN GREEN

I think I told all of you on this board last year after the Texas loss. However, I was blasted all over the place. I'd much rather lose to Texas 60-3 then to Tulsa 54-2 at home. DD and his staff wasn't prepared.....If I don't come to class prepared, my students really know it! I've never left before a game was over, and I've been coming since 1982.....GO MEAN GREEN !
