I was sitting near a person who was yelling about the coaches decisions, (or the lack thereof) late in the 4th quarter. He was yelling loud enough for RV to deliver the most "staredown" I've ever seen. Friends that were sitting with me were shocked that the athletic director was "staring down" someone who was very upset, etc. I think the person saying bad things about the coaching staff ....maybe doesn't know the whole story? On the other hand, the athletic director should turn the other way. The game was bad enough, but really.........we're better than that! Sure, we lost a close game....the coaches, fans and players were upset. I am sure the players really wanted this game. However, fans shouldn't be negative.....and the athletic director should of walked away.

If we were TRULY the MEAN GREEN NATION we wouldn't care because the stadium would be sold out with all green shirts & screaming fans. So, anytime a Big 12 team travels to Denton, we should show up in groves....why? Because we ARE the MGN ! It's still time to change your Thanksgiving Day plans! GO MEAN GREEN ! Notre Dame will stay independent. Missouri will go to the Big 10. Arkansas will go to the Big 12. Boise Will go to the MWC. Pac 10 will take Colorado and Utah or Utah and BYU. Who will go to the SEC? Florida State or Miami, then East Carolina to the ACC. Any thoughts?

I am not a member of the alumni association for the first time since 1988. The reason? Mr. Morgan doesn't care if we have an alumni association in Arkansas. I wanted to try and put one together and I was shot down. There are over 3,000 alumni and I was told that I couldn't start a chapter......kind of sad being that the marketing director is from Bentonville, Arkansas. Doesn't make any sense to me. So, I am now a member of the University of Arkansas Alumni Association. I'll always be a Mean Green Eagle!

Well, when RV was hired, there were 43 Mean Green Club members. For the most part, he has never learned my name, asked me to help with the stadium (at least buy a locker,etc.) or anything else. Every week tailgating, he asks me, "Who are you?" Guys, I've been in PR all my life. You should know every member ($1,000 level). I like RV as far as building the women's athletics program and getting donations, etc. However, his coaching moves are not so credible. As another example, the only schools UNT can beat in basketball are Division II schools. Why are we playing them? Because it's a win. I go to football games when I can, since I live in NW Arkansas, it's expensive to travel. I didn't like this move to hire Dodge but support him. It's just the right thing to do. The move......it's maybe both! Go Mean Green!!!!!

After my wife passed away last February, it was very difficult making $1,000 a year donation. But, I put together a budget and gave. Now, after being a Mean Green Club member since 1983 or so, I am almost ready to give up on this head coach. Eleven students leaving the program in less than 2 years is unheard of....even with the MG Nation. It time for a change......maybe I'll just give $250 and give the rest to OSU? RV needs to address these issues or there will not be even 43 MGC members. Alot of us drive from all over Texas, I drive 12 hours to attend one football game. So disappointed in the lack of leadership.

I teach hospitality at the University of Arkansas. Here, we have the Inn at Carnall Hall (.com) used to be a women's dorm. Today, it's a 50 room hotel, with classroom and 2 faculty offices. I am working on a Ph.D. at OSU, so I stay at the Antherton often. At U of A, we have a management company, however, my food prep class cooks dinner on Monday nights. It is my understanding that a hotel will be built and the hospitality program at UNT will assist in the operation. My friends/professors at UNT is closed lipped about it. When I find out, I'll let you know! GO MEAN GREEN !

That's a great idea, however I've been trying to get a chapter started in Arkansas and the NT Exes said there isn't enough interest (without even sending out a survey). We have almost 2,000 graduates living in the State. So, why should I continue to be a member? Go Mean Green !

How about a working hotel for the Hospitality Management Program? GO MEAN GREEN

"Build It and They Will Come" ...............new football stadium will have a HUGE impact. People will pay and see the Mean Green when you have lots of food, fun, atmosphere and flat screen TV's..........nice sky boxes, etc. Ask Arkansas........we had a poor stadium (49,000) and then spent $20M, and now average close to 70,000. GO MEAN GREEN !

My wife and I sit Section D, Row 35 ......close to Section E ......(I think) and there is plenty of yelling...we rarely sit down.......come and join us.....Tell Mandy to put you in our little "Eagles Nest"......it's fun! I've been there for over 20 years....we give enough for Section E, but we just love where we sit....GO MEAN GREEN !

I am surprized...usually the visiting team stays there! Great Information...only 10 miles from the stadium!

Most hotel rooms in NWArkansas require a 2 day stay. Rooms will be booked as far away as Little Rock. One option, is Eureka Springs 45 minutes away, great little B & B's lots of fun.........especially if you like driving around the mountains! I drive to Arlington from Fayetteville every weekend.......around 350 miles 5.5 hours from Denton. Hope this helps. GO MEAN GREEN !!!!!

It's nice that the Exes Board of Directors really got a great person to work for the organization. I did apply, however, raising over $4.5 million in the last 4 years while teaching at the University of Arkansas just didn't even get an interview. Guess we don't want a Exes member, President's Council member, Mean Green Club member (since 88) and someone who is active in their local community and AN ALUMNI to get an interview. Also, did I mention being an Outstanding Alumni in UNT's Hospitality Management Program? Just think, next summer I should have my Ph.D. Still love the Mean Green!

Well, if you're trying to get people to see the Green White game, buy season tickets, join the Mean Green Club, why would you hold the game on Sunday afternoon? For the people who live 5+ hours, we can't make the trip. If we do, we're drinking Sprite. Do you see anyone in the SEC, Big 12, Big 10, ACC, Big East, or even CUSA having a Spring game on Sunday? Still love the Mean Green!

Just to let you know, I am from Arlington Texas and have worked at the University of Arkansas for 4 years. We are not all hillbillies up here. Come and see for yourself! Yes, it is getting a lot of attention. Mitch is and always will be just a spoiled brat.....or a mommie's little boy! If I were a coach, I wouldn't want him or his attitude. GO MEAN GREEN !

Yes! I work at U of A and go to most of the North Texas games. All of my students know where I got my undergraduate degree! Now, we need the marching band to come up! GO MEAN GREEN !

Look at what Guz Malzhan has done for the University of Arkansas! After being at nationally ranked Springdale High School, he is the OC at U of A and undefeated in the SEC. Never had college coaching experience and brought in 4 SHS blue chippers! Personally, I believe RV will hire someone from USM.
