  1. I guess I'm just not a fan of the sub 40% shooting last year and the poor assist/TO ratio. I just don't see what need he fills and how it plays into the future? If neither of those other guys was a legitimate option, then maybe this is the best we can do.
  2. No offense to him, but I was really hoping for one of the bigger name transfers. It would be much more helpful to have someone who will sit out next year and then soften the blow when most of the team graduates...just my two cents.
  3. If you truley believe the last part or think a parallel can be drawn between the two, I feel sorry for you. On another note, I am a liberal, and this policy to me is indefensible.
  4. I think it is a little unfair to make the point that if you multiplied the statistics by 3 for Tune, that they would be way better. If you look at the majority of situations that Tune was placed in, it was in games that were already out of hand, or in instances like Alabama where we were using a super conservative gameplan. Dodge and Vizza were both forced to try and make plays to win games, resulting in obviously more turn overs. Also I think Vizza was a freshman in 2007 and a Sophomore in 2008.
  5. Can I have my 33 seconds back? How is that a preview. To summarize..."North Texas won the Sun Belt, but they will lose now". They pay this guy for this crap???
  6. I would definitely be happy if Nolan Dennis decided to follow in his brothers footsteps...
  7. I can't decide if I should give you a +1 for that, or start going to church more often so God might have mercy on my soul, because that definitely made me laugh...
  8. If we are going to be a 15 seed, I would love to play Purdue. They have had a great year, but are without the services of their best or at least second best player Robbie Hummel. E'twaun Moore and Jajuan Johnson would definitely be tough, but out of the 2 seeds, they would definitely be my first choice.
  9. Is that some kind of computerized bid? Is that new this year? I know they were talking about expanding the field, but I didn't realize they were going automated... Just giving you a hard time!
  10. Not again...my heart can't take this...
  11. Need to stop their mini run here by taking it inside...
  12. Goal tending? Really...
  13. Hasn't the 60 always included Liebermann? If so, I don't think he really counts...so they never had a true super majority, at least not when it comes to national security issues.
  14. In reading the quote you highlighted in the article, it seems that the Democrats did try to change things in the Patriot Act that they do not like. I don't think it has anything to do with all of a suddent changing their minds once they are in power, and everything to do with the fact that a party with only 41 Senators can stop our government from doing anything.
  15. I guess I just disagree with your premise then. I personally don't watch news because I want it to agree with my point of view, I just want to know what is going on. I don't need to watch something that tells me how I should feel, or puts emphasis on what they think is important. I guess that's why I don't watch much news on the TV.
  16. Do you think that it's that the average viewer of Fox News prefers to watch news that is more likely to agree and reinforce what they believe, rather than challenge? Are you saying the people who created Fox News (the channel as a whole) created it because they could not find any unbiased news or because they couldn't find a news biased towards conservatives?
  17. It did get us in the ESPN top ten...When is the last time we heard about UNT basketball on sports center...highlight might have been focused on WKY, but at least they said we won!
  18. I and the Bureau of Labor Statistics take issue with those numbers you are reporting http://data.bls.gov/PDQ/servlet/SurveyOutputServlet?series_id=LNS14000000 Year Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec Annual 1999 4.3 4.4 4.2 4.3 4.2 4.3 4.3 4.2 4.2 4.1 4.1 4.0 2000 4.0 4.1 4.0 3.8 4.0 4.0 4.0 4.1 3.9 3.9 3.9 3.9 2001 4.2 4.2 4.3 4.4 4.3 4.5 4.6 4.9 5.0 5.3 5.5 5.7 2002 5.7 5.7 5.7 5.9 5.8 5.8 5.8 5.7 5.7 5.7 5.9 6.0 2003 5.8 5.9 5.9 6.0 6.1 6.3 6.2 6.1 6.1 6.0 5.8 5.7 2004 5.7 5.6 5.8 5.6 5.6 5.6 5.5 5.4 5.4 5.5 5.4 5.4 2005 5.3 5.4 5.2 5.2 5.1 5.0 5.0 4.9 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.9 2006 4.7 4.8 4.7 4.7 4.6 4.6 4.7 4.7 4.5 4.4 4.5 4.4 2007 4.6 4.5 4.4 4.5 4.4 4.6 4.6 4.6 4.7 4.7 4.7 5.0 2008 5.0 4.8 5.1 5.0 5.4 5.5 5.8 6.1 6.2 6.6 6.9 7.4 2009 7.7 8.2 8.6 8.9 9.4 9.5 9.4 9.7 9.8 10.1 10.0 10.0 Has unemployment gotten worse? Yes! I think part of what you are seeing is a trend continuing from late 2008. Arguments could be made that Obama has not done enough (or anything) to stop this trend, but I think he could hardly be blamed for "doubling the unemployment rate". It also appears that job losses may be stabilizing, hopefully to start decreasing soon...
  19. I guess the part that confuses me about what Rush said, is the link on Whitehouse.gov IS a link to take you to the Red Cross donation website. No one is asking that a donation be made to Obama? I really don't know what to say to the second part, other than I think the precedent for this was set when Clinton and Bush Sr. got together for Tsunami relief.
  20. Hey, I think JJ doesn't have a problem with people watching practice. Why don't you swing on by one day and share with the team your thoughts on their play and character?
  21. I love how people don't even mention that this poor play (well most of it) has occured without Tramiel. If you had said at the beginning of the year we would be without Hogans and DJ for the year, and Tramiel for the start of conference play, what would you expect our record to be? I think we are playing exactly how I would expect without those players (especially DJ and Tramiel).
  22. I think I understand where you are trying to go with the bolded statement, but I have to disagree with that. I think what you are saying is true about any submerged glaciers/ice, because in essence the ice has already had it's impact on sealevel because it is a part of the sea. However, I think that the part of glaciers/ice blocks that is not submerged would have an impact on sea level. It would in essence be holding an ice cube above your soda and letting it slowly melt into the glass, raising the level.
  23. I'd dissapointed we lost, but on the bright side...I think game would have been closer with DJ and Mangrum. Also proud that we never gave up.
  24. Yes - get your basketball tickets now. Should be a good season!
