  1. I don't want Jeff Bowen, or Jeff Bower either. I'm not so sure about Mike Leech, but I would take Mike Leach!
  2. To me the new scheduling mandate seems near impossible. We just schedule out future games with Texas Tech/LSU, how do we know they will be in the top 150 by the time the games are actually played? I think it would be a much better policy to say non D2 games, and no more than 5 OOC games for teams not in the top 150...I forsee us having to play nearly 2 months on the road just to comply with these new rulings. I think we have had decent luck getting some quality schools to come play here, but imagine how hard it might be for some of our conference foes to get top 150 teams in their house?
  3. I guess we will find out soon enough...if the next half is anything like the last, than I sure hope so!
  4. I think Obi may end up with more roughing penalties than we have points...
  5. Can you fire a coach mid game?
  6. I'm pretty sure that barking out or signals is supposed to be a penalty on them...so pretty bush league for them to be doing that stuff.
  7. After the Alex lot touchdown pass, I saw plenty of congrats? After the last one of the night I don't think there was much of that because they were getting prepared for overtime...
  8. I don't think comparing "JJ's" slow start to TD is appropriate by all. I hardly think a 10 win or so turnaround in year one is a slow start like TD's performance is appropriate...
  9. I know guys, based on the interview he seems extremely solid...I think the fact that he could point to so many things he likes about UNT bodes well for us. Can't wait to see what JJ does with the rest of the ships!!!
  10. Can't officially sign until the early signing period in November...hopefully he doesn't "javia hall" us.
  11. Maybe this was talked about earlier and I missed it, but looking at the basketball roster a new name popped up. Avery Redmond: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Avery-Redmond-99338 Anyone know anything about this or what kind of player he is?
  12. Clemson - Loss 45-10 - It's going to be a long day Rice - Win 24-21 - I nearly have a heart attack as a last second field goal attempt is blocked! Army - Win 17-16 - Our linebackers/D-line step up and contain the run game for the most part. FAU - Win 21-17 - We have to win against them eventually? ULL - Win 28-14 - We execute and minimze turnovers! Ark State - Loss - 31-24 FIU - Win 31 - 21 - We take care of business at homecoming! WKU - Win 42-17 - We are better than last year, I think we finally get some separation in our wins! Troy - Loss 35-17 - Still too much for us to handle MTSU - Loss 42-21 See above ULM - Win 35-10 - Defense steps up after to difficult outings Kansas State - Loss 38-31 - Close, but not quite there 7-5 and another year for Dodger? Maybe I'm just a big homer.
  13. Yea...ask Javia Hall...big difference.
  14. He is on the floor right now. Not the greatest start, missed jumper and turn over. Probably rusty from getting now run yesterday. Doesn't help that he's playing with the summer league black hole in Roddy B.
  15. Well he got another 7 minutes in the second half. I don't think his play will show up in the stat sheet. He didn't really look for the shot and his teamates didn't look for him as they dominated the ball as is common in summer league. He rebounded well (finishing with 5) and played solid defense including getting a steal and forcing an opponent into a bad pass that led to a turnover. Overall I think he played well, would be nice if he got a chance to take some shots next game.
  16. Sure, I'm hoping he will get at least another 5-10 of game time. Mavs overall looking terrible, but I think him and Jeremy Lin out of Harvard have been bright spots.
  17. Watching the game now. Tramiel just got 5 minutes of run in 2Q. It's a good sign that he was basically in there early with the second unit. Grabbed a couple of boards. Set alot of screens and moved around on onfense. Brought the energy.
  18. Also many of the sports play more than 4 away conference games, so you can't just say multiply by 4 for each sport.
  19. I don't think he was taking a shot at Graham, but rather the guy in the article she linked.
  20. I wish I had more time right now to reply to your post. While there are definitely things I agree with you on...I have never heard of anyone saying the problem with our education system is the teachers get paid too much????? There are alot of things in the education system that need fixing and teachers pay is one of them, except it is far too low for what we expect them to do. Teacher pay if why we are falling behind in education. Why go to college to become a teacher with a starting salary in the $35,000-$40,000, that will max out at $60,000 when you can go into business or engineering where you will start in the $50-$60K range and proceed from there. That is why we no longer get the best, the brightest, the most motivated to educate our future generations.
  21. Back on topic...is that website for real? I couldn't tell if they were serious or this was all a big joke.
  22. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, I think the only way they get Bryant is if they trade up. He's a top 10 talent, and there will definitely be a team in the early 20's who will pick him up if he is still there.
