So we're finally 5-3 after a long time and we're all of a sudden expected to start acting big time? Like I said be realistic. TCU has a TONS of money and has a history dating back to the SWC. Not to mention that it took them a long time to finally achieve what they set out to and finally getting into the Big 12. Like I said, I agree with you from an end result perspective but becoming big time probably won't happen very quick. It takes a long time to rid of the level of apathy we have had and still have here at NT. And seriously calling out fans on here because they won't or can't show up is a head scratcher. The fact that they're on this board should indicate they're involved with UNT athletics some way and generally tries to attend most if not all sporting events.

Comparing us to Louisville right now is a far far stretch don't you think? I understand your thoughts...we've all had these thoughts especially when we were all younger but we need to be realistic.

Life does tend to get in the way of a lot of things as you get older. If a few fans don't or cannot make it then it's quite understandable.

You're preaching to people that will likely be there. Believe it or not there are apathetic fans that attend UT as well. Our issue is the quantity of fans that want to attend games. We've been bad for a long long time and we don't have what you call the most winning tradition in CFB. There is improvement but this thing is far far far far from fixed.

I think it's a crapshoot what attendance will be like given it's a weeknight, and it's Halloween. Hopefully we'll have at least 20K

I've got a pretty expensive TV package from Dish including their sports plan but I don't see Fox College Sports. Not sure if this is true but according to Wikipedia they're not affiliated with Dish as of yet at least.

With the number of alums in the area and in the world, there are NT alums in every single industry possible especially in all aspects of real estate. I took a real estate class with the great John Bain my sr year and he brought a guest who was one of the big whigs for the Staubach company. I remember him talking about quite a few UNT alums work for the company and are quite successful. If I am not mistaken I think he actively encouraged us to network with him and consider working for him.

Rick Gosselin was one of them and he predicted us to go to a bowl. Here is a transcript of what was said. It was out of the blue and when hearing that so my NT homer pants was happy. The Sunbelt was a lot better conference when we left it.

People are really nice out there. Really nice little college town. Whoever goes out there should be able to have a great time. Plenty of great places to eat as well.

I'd love to have Colorado State as a conference mate. I wouldn't be opposed to NMSU either. I've been to Las Cruces a few times and had a great time.

Being in IT myself I certainly understand and relate to the issues but the writer of this article certainly doesn't hesitate in bringing actual politics and his own political opinions into this.

What benefit is there to dislike UNT fans? Is he aware of the history of our football program and how bad so many of us have been kicked in the nuts? He has some serious issues.

I'm a big fan of their kolaches but everytime I stop by I always buy several loafs of their raisin bread and regular white bread. Their raisin bread is to die for especially when you toast it up.
