Definitely not a fair comparison there. Nill has been great but the good young players within the organization have come from Newy's tenure. He did not railroad the organization IMO.

In fairness, I wouldn't want my players thinking otherwise.

There's quite a few I've been too and loads of them that are probably great but haven't been too yet. But some of them that immediately come to mind are: Mia's - Dallas Joe T Garcias - Fort Worth El Ranchito - Dallas Primo's - Dallas Desperados - Dallas Uncle Julios - Throughout DFW I think La Hacienda - Throughout DFW Herrera's - Dallas (I like it but it seems hit or miss with a lot of folks Ojeda's - small place located in Plano near where I live. Not many know about it but food is good and they have cheap alcohol. Their salsa is good but spicy as hell. I'm sure I'm missing some but this would be a good start.

I always tell people that Dallas has far far superior Mexican and Tex/Mex food. Looking at it objectively, I actually don't mind SA for a weekend trip for a few days. I always give the city a hard time but when I go there I usually have a good time.

On the Cowboys game fan feedback during Gordo's Corner this morning, one of the callers made a point and then mentioned Junior going to the North Texas game is sort of rare and shocking. He said he'll discuss it tomorrow morning. Should be a great listen.

It absolutely is and I don't think anybody will deny that. And honestly I'm not doing any smack tack attendance wise. I'm just stating what I think is the struggle the majority of college FB programs through in terms of attendance. If UNT keeps on winning and stays consistent for several years then yes we'll be one of those schools that has a chance to become something really really big. But if we go back to say 3-9 next season then whatever momentum that was built up this season will be lost. All I am saying is that UTSA is still in a honeymoon phase with football. For it to stay good or get better you'll have to put a good and winning product on the field. If not then you'll be in the same boat most other CFB programs struggle with including NT.

They need/needed to get on a winning tear right from the start to capitalize on the early momentum and novelty. The next couple of years will be crucial for that program IMO. If they're meh or bad the novelty will deteriorate and it'll become apathetic like a lot of other schools struggle with.

The more he keeps winning the more likely of course. But if he continues to win then there is no reason we cannot give him a very good extension and pay raise as well.

It's not cheap but the publicity would be great for the school. I think next year could be a real good possibility.

It may be tough making the Liberty Bowl for me but obviously it's better for the team if we go there. But certainly the HoD would be pretty damn epic as well.

Seriously? He damages the university he attended? Since when has he put his university down? I've never ever heard him dis this university. In fact he does pull for UNT and frequently talks about the great times he had as a student here. I can also guarantee that when they do their CFB talk on Tuesday he'll mention the NT game and how he was at the game and had a great time. Be proud and happy that he was at the game. We can't and should not make any enemies at this point especially when we historically have terrible attendance and apathy at NT.

I can't see it happening this season with 3 losses.
