I hear and read about the future president being pro athletics or not but the real question is what does the BOR think and what factors are they strongly considering when they're actively pursuing and interviewing candidates? If he's not as pro athletics as we liked then don't really only blame him, blame the folks that found him, interviewed him, and hired him. Just my thought.

If I remember correctly they already had enough funds to do the leg work in terms of preliminary designs and getting bids. Nothing was stolen. If the fee did not pass the 2nd time around, ground would have never been broken until it did.

What's wrong with saying that UNT, UH, and UCF are all good teams? I won't go on to predict who would whip who as none of us know but I'd like to think they'd be hard fought good games either way.

I actually got this same call last week. I believe it was Darvin Kidsy but I don't know if it was because of my line or his but it was a terrible reception and I could barely make out what he was saying. So without sounding completely lost and confused I just made it a point to do more of the talking by saying it was my pleasure supporting the MGC and the school and that they're doing a great job this season so keep it up.

Not only are we having a great season with success but I you add a fiery Mac who is trying to recruit you I think that will only benefit us well. But again there is still business to be dealt with this season and it's very very important to keep on winning to further sell the program to recruits.

You don't have to get the best recruits to do big and great things. Ask Boise and TCU. Just keep on winning and prove the naysayers wrong.

I doubt it's sold out but I think we all expect a very good crowd of at least 25k+. If you come you should be able to find tickets.

I think comparing the two stadiums is a bit of a stretch. They're both just so different. That being said I don't believe for one second if you had the opportunity of having an brand new on campus built stadium that is super duper nice you wouldn't take that over the dome. The dome obviously is indoors and it is big but that's all it has to offer. Beyond that how can you say the dome trumps Apogee? Don't be so sure here. This is when college football fans can get a little toooo optimisitic and delusional thinking things will go a certainly way because they're supposed too. If your fanbase is bigger at that time then great but like I said there better be quite a bit of winning from now til then for people to stay engaged and care about the program. Unless you're an AQ or have some rich history most CFB are in the same boat in trying to fight school apathy.

Frankly nothing would surprise me on what happens. I do think he will end up staying another season but if a bigger program comes calling with a significant pay increase, I cannot see him staying and rightfully so. I do think we're in a position to increase his salary but how much? I am guessing realistically the most we'd be able to up his salary would be in the 700-800k range if that? Even the small non AQ schools will probably start the pay at a million plus. I say regardless of what happens we enjoy this season and hope that whatever happens after the season we're going to continue the momemtum and keep on being relevant and winning.

Just looked at it and it doesn't apply to the right dates it appears. I checked Southwest and if you're flying out of Love Field you can do a fly in one day and fly back out the next day and you'll play $69 or $79 each way. It's a little more expensive but not bad at all if you want to skip the drive time. And Southwest has really early morning flights as well.

Hurts to miss that one.
