You do what you have to do. Nothing wrong with that whatsoever. As long as people come to the game then that is the most we can really ask for. Seriously? We're North Texas homie...we historically have apathy and attendance problems. We can't control what is out of our hands. If you haven't noticed, our athletics history hasn't been too kind to fans. And the last 9 years saw one of the worst CFB programs in the country. And what is the point in bitching on this board when the majority of this board will be attending the game or at least try their best? Good grief.

In the end hiring a coach is usually a crap shoot. I think when a coach has it he just has it...doesn't matter where he came from and how.

Interesting. I'm not a hardcore fan that follows the league to the tee but if the perception of the league is increasing and if it can ever get to a level where it's not far from a top Euro league then I think it will be nothing short of a miracle.

Frankly the MLS will never be able to compete with the top European leagues. There would have to be astronomical shift in uprising here to even think about competing but even then I just can't see it. The MLS doesn't have the money to offer top tier talent to fill the whole league. Not only that but the majority of top level players will prefer to stay in Europe. And I may be in the minority but I believe all the top US players should stay and play in Europe. It's better for American soccer. While the MLS today is a far better brand of soccer than many years ago I just cannot see the league ever sniffing the European leagues.

Bought season tickets and I haven't attended a game yet this season. Last year I would have made it a point to schedule my plans around MBB games but at this point I'm not so sure when I'll be attending.

Admittedly I've never been to an FC Dallas game but I've heard they're really fun. I'm going to make it point to go to same games this season but nobody that I know is ever interested in it lol. I've heard the Sidekicks are fun as hell as well and they usually sell that place out. I inquired about their ticket prices and it was not very cheap.

Seattle may not be far away either. They've never been afraid to spend money. It's a great sports market and town as well. Choo is a great fit here. Ideally I'd like them to both sign Cruz and Choo but the issue is that Nelly has already stated that he wants to play the OF. Maybe they can bag both and have Nelly be a DH and fill-in OF'er multiple times a week. I'm not hopeful they'll be able to pull that off but you never know.

Really not sure what the big deal is. They don't represent anything that's wrong and soulless. I'm hopeful that one day we could be able to pay a coach that money. Hell It would be great when paying our coach 2 or 3 million a year will be just fine. People don't realize what athletics can do for a university as a whole. It's all a business and it's all about money.
