Amadeus is one of my favorite movies ever. I never saw that film until one of my high school classes showed it and it was so great.

Mark Followill does regional FB as it is through I want to say ESPN or Fox Sports college football. Plus his Mavs gig is really good so he is definitely out of the question.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but could Dave Barnett be a possibility? He does live in Denton from what I recall and other than the Icons of Coaching he does on FSSW I don't think he has much else on his plate.

I do love satellite radio when I'm not listening to The Ticket but the prices for subscription has become ridiculous. $180/yr is super steep for mainly just radio in your car. What I always end up doing is I always cancel or threaten to cancel and when I don't budge they'll just offer me the same package I have for for like $25 or $30 for 6 months.

All jokes aside I believe this to be true. Based on the amount of time put in as well as his early morning hours from his day job it would just seem to wear on you after years of doing it. Although deep down it probably does help making such decisions when you feel like you get kicked in the nuts constantly with announcing losing teams.

Winnipeg was outplayed in every aspect except Pavelec stole the game. That being said this team is frustrating beyond belief. 0-7 on power play is bad but the power play on the whole is unacceptable. They have their moments and streaks but on the whole I never feel this is a good or deadly power play consistently. I think it's time to look at Curt Fraser and figure out if a change is needed there. Lindback was actually really good. The 2nd goal was a turnover in the neutral zone on a power play no less that led the puck to go in. I think this team is what it is...average at best but I'm seeing playoffs much more grim than ever before. I don't see how they get in and even if they were to do so they'd likely be an easy one and done again.

Definitely not an impressive list. The 2 most realistic and probably best options is too just wait and develop the young kids within the Stars system and continue to draft them or wait til a fabulous team that can't pay really good d-men are available for trade which Dallas still has plenty of assets to trade if they wish to go that route. I've heard Seabrooks name thrown out there since they'd keep Keith and next year is when the new mammoth contracts of Toews and Kane kick in so I'm not sure if that's even viable especially considering both are in the same division.

Not really sure what to make of this team. Seems they're getting more fluid and balanced offensively now and so glad Hemsky seems to have found his place and game on this team. The blue line is still a disaster and goaltending is iffy even with Kari as he's just not been himself all season long. If they want to make a legitimate push for the playoffs they better get a full 2 points agains Winnipeg in regulation.

Just a horrible game tonight. This team has way too many holes to legitimately make a run at a playoff spot. I just wonder if they can be bad enough can land once in a generation talent like McDavid or Eichel or even a Hanafin.

I'd imagine that TV pays well for doing very little to no work so it'd be really hard to easily leave that. If he was really interested in coaching again I think he'd get a job rather quickly. Same with Jon Gruden...he gets a boat load of money to be a broadcaster and not have to deal with the day to day stress of coaching year round.

I may be totally wrong but didn't RG3 commit to Houston and changed his commitment to follow Briles to Baylor? If that's the case I would think Houston football would have emerged.

It's the AD's job to make good hires so he can have quality results on the field and court. Ultimately that is what really matters and counts otherwise why have one and why pay him a very handsome salary for several years down the road? If success happens, people get more engaged and care and if that happens that is when they have an itch to get more involved and thus donate for the student athletes. At the end of the day this is a business and that's the way it works and will always work.
