  1. At this point our athletic department needs new blood from top to bottom. I think the new decision makers should be the ones to decide if they want to retain anyone from the current staff. Clean house and get rid of everything that is associated with RV and the rest of the current regime. IF the new decision makers decides to retain anyone currently on the payroll I am ok with that but it should be given the opportunity to be a completely clean slate.
  2. I could have sworn RV got some type of extension as well a year or two ago but I must be really really confused.
  3. I know our loss yesterday made some national news but how would they know about that so easily and yet not have any idea of our bowl in 2013 and be that removed? It seems a little odd to me if they're from Denton and even been to a game and not know about the 2013 bowl.
  4. Oh really? I don't think I saw that. So what was his extension that he signed I want to say last year that was an extra 4 or 5 years?
  5. He'll need a buyout to go away. Retirement may be the face of him going away but he has over 300K reasons a year to keep on milking this for what he can
  6. Even casual observers and outsiders of this program know and realize our AD sucks.
  7. I can see that happening but I'm not so sure twice with the same school for consecutive HC firings.
  8. This is exactly why I say that people saying we want a coach that knows to how to recruit Texas, knows Texas, from Texas is all garbage because there is a plethora of football players and talent in this state. Anybody can recruit Texas if they have a game plan, good coach, program etc.
  9. I'm not sure how these buyouts work but can't we just pay it in installments over a longer period of time so we can absorb it easier? If the athletics program is in a much better shape financially than it was previously then 4 million in buyout money for 2 very important and critical roles doesn't seem that much.
  10. I read/heard that it was surely after the game and in the locker room but was it really in front of the whole team as well?
  11. We can recover but the main question is do we and specifically the powers that be really want us to totally recover and turn everything around? I have my doubts.
  12. Last year's SMU team would absolutely embarrass us.
  13. Holy crap what an epic effing game.
  14. It's such a beat down watching Hamilton up to bat.
  15. Health will be key and since this is year 2 here he should be all settled in. If he gets more aggressive and take more shots he'll get some great results. I know he is what he is and people have been trying to get him to shoot more since his days with the Oilers but he can be so damn productive if he shoots more. I was watching on TV as well and I think there were quite a few Pens fans but it was nice to see they literally had zilch to cheer and be happy about last night. The row behind the Pens bench on TV was so great b/c they looked so pissed off and defeated.
  16. Very impressive showing on opening night. How about Neimi and how he dominated.
  17. Great win but baseball is a funny game because we may win today against Price but Toronto can come out tomorrow and beat our ace in Hamels. I am glad we did get at least one win in a raucous Skydome. And Roogie is such a little punk badass.
  18. Hockey starts today although the Stars play tomorrow but some great games on tonight. MTL TOR NYR CHI VAN CGY SJ LA
  19. Ok ya I don't recall how the post season stuff since I've got a cable package as well but unless something has changed you don't have to have cable to get MLB TV during the regular season if I recall.
  20. Not true. All you need to do is register and there's 2 options, one that's 20/month and the other 25/month. No contract or anything and you can cancel anytime so essentially you can have it for what 6-7 months and you get all the baseball you need. I've got a Roku 3 connected to my TV and there's an MLB TV channel on there so the quality and setup is really great. I've got the more expensive plan but I don't recall the difference but I remember it had a few extra features I really liked and wanted to have.
  21. MLB TV is a great option. You won't get much chance to watch Texas or Houston but for the rest of baseball it's a great thing to have and I'm happy with it.
  22. Very quiet stadium last night. Granted they didn't have much to cheer for getting shutout but that same game is in the old Yankee Stadium and I think the vibe and atmosphere is a little different.
