  1. that was my #1 #2 would be the last win at Tech #3 Nolan Ryan vs. Robin Ventura...before the game I told my friend, "I hope a fight breaks out", sure enough there was a great one
  2. Bill O'Reilly just called, he wants that author on the NO SPIN ZONE
  3. Ajani Banks looks pretty good, it did seem his conditioning and footwork weren't great, but it was hard to tell as the heat is ridiculous... I also noticed that our running backs are still slipping on the new turf when then make cuts, that is not good in my opinion as our ground game is key to us winning and Jamario needs to be able to cut
  4. It seems like a lot of our freshman lineman were already playing with the second team defense/offense. I really do think that class will payoff by next year and could be the foundation for another possible 4 year conference run...
  5. He's not nicknamed "Mayday" Meager for nothing. It's sad because I think he would start if he could stay 100% and be really good for our offense...
  6. No, the most vulnerable QB is the one who keeps getting injured and can never seem to get healthy... That aside, Dickey seems to be much more involved this year and had the quote of the day when he said something like "Do you wanna !@#$% go 2-9?!" Our kicking game is awful, we had too many blocks and our kickers drive the ball and don't have enough lift...reminds me of Baz's first year Fumbled snaps are a huge problem! If you can't start the play off right you can't finish the play How I would rank the QBs: 1. Wilson - good mobility, decent arm, but reckless 2. Tune - This guy really looks like a future star QB, would like to seem him with the first team, but will probably be redshirted unless injuries hit. Tune to Gill will replace Hall to Blount 3. Meager - Would probably be #1 if he were healthy but he never seems to be 4. Phillips - My pick to start against Texas was awful yesterday. Poor decisions over and over. Lacks velocity on his throws I have an interesting thought. I think a lot of our plays are poorly designed or poorly executed. When you watch our pass patterns the receivers seem to all be in the same area making it easier to defend against and making our QB spend too long in the pocket. It also seems we have several plays where only 2 receivers are going down field. I can't tell if the receivers are not running their routes correctly or if the play really calls for them to be 5 yds apart. Thoughts? Esteban Santiago was playing NT with the first team I think. Big guy, a tad slow in the footwork, but looks pretty good for a freshman. That said we need Ike Thomas in there, he is the difference maker... Robertson is pretty dang good and should be backing up Jamario. Jamario did not play very much and did not show too much...Hopefully he will be healthy for Texas. The new kid #21 at running back looked like a bruiser, was deceptively fast and made good moves. Gill is awesome...he seems to be open a lot and caught the ball just about everytime... good gosh can we get our logo on the 50?! both lines looked better than last year
  7. That's an understatement
  8. Is there another scrimmage on saturday at 8am? Is it at Fouts?
  9. No way, we have our own discipline/grade issues.
  10. Houston and NT fight for 3rd every year. We are far from being a "small" school
  11. Tradition states that I make some Cafe du Monde coffee for the Saturday morning scrimmages and then Hooya's for lunch!
  12. Maybe Mrs. Doubtfire or Tootsie will give you some ideas
  13. great, another regional team
  14. While we are on a rabbit trail... I too think Ft. Worth is way better than Dallas. Ft. Worth has all the better date spots, better zoo, better art museums, better history museums, botanic gardens, stockyards/rodeos...the list goes on and on...Dallas has basically one thing and that is the music scene and even that is dying off it seems... oh, and obviously TcU is better than SmU
  15. Hopefully our O-line coach can fix their Math problems from last season...We have 6 guys on the line, they send 8 and 4 guys get through It seemed to happen a lot last year
  16. glad to know we were an obscure program in 1968
  17. except for people who go to the biggest cult of all time...aTm
  18. I think pictures of the street musicians in New Orleans would be more appropriate
  19. So they will be battling for one play a game? I just don't understand why we didn't use Henderson more last year. He created holes with his physical play and appeared to be much needed given our line troubles last year...
  20. Bring back the lemon chill!
  21. so what are you saying? He only shows up when it is a contract year or when his job is on the line? Great...we have Dampier for a coach....
  22. I mention Lay's potato chips and you mention Bush...I see the connection I'm starting to think that you have a crush on Mr. Bush. It's like in Junior High when a girl would constantly make fun of a boy and talk badly about him all the time, bring him up when he wasn't mentioned, but secretly deep down inside she really like-likes him...yep, you have a crush Do you want Mr. Bush to ask you to dance? circle: YES NO MAYBE
