So, good ken, are you saying yes or no? -
College Gameday from USC

A 4-0 OOC start. But we don't really count those games anyway, right? <_< -
NT gets two big committments, scheduled visit
emmitt01 replied to OldTimer's topic in Mean Green Basketball
I believe your memory is correct. -
Why not? They have nine lives. Indy gets the ball in the red zone THREE TIMES and turns it over? Edgerrin James fumbles on the 3 yard line with just over two minutes to go? Indy gets the ball back with just over a minute ON THE NEW ENGLAND 18 and they give up a sack....then miss a field goal? This is the kind of game that'll make you believe that New England has a pact with the devil.

I agree completely with what the both of you are trying to say, we should mourn all of our fallen athletes. I do, though, take issue with the manner in which you bring it across though. Maybe it's just me but being berated for not showing enough emotion is a bit over the top. I'm sure we all recognize that football is not the be-all-end-all at North Texas but even if that were the opinion of some it's not anyone's place to call them on the carpet for it. Let's all try to move forward together in this time of loss.

Antoine Walker traded
emmitt01 replied to a topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I would have traded Walker for a six piece chicken nuggets and a barbecue sauce. -
I know it's easy from our stanpoint but I ask the question that I'm sure every person who watches pro sports asks: "How can you be given the opportunity to make millions of dollars for PLAYING A GAME, have god-given natural ability that 90% of the population would love to have, and then piss it away on drugs?"

In fact I am a gmg poster...geez I was leading for like all but the last hour or so it seems.

I am currently undefeated (8-0, 6-0 Big XII) and #1 in the country in year 2 of my dynasty. At the end of year one I got an invite to replace Baylor in the Big XII. The funny thing is Baylor is currently #6 in the Sun Belt standings at (3-6, 2-4 in SBC). I've created no players and have it on All-American. P. Cobbs is 2nd in Heisman voting right now behind the HB from Norther Illinois. I'm past the meat of the Big XII schedule though so I'll pass him up. Oh yeah, ULM is currently 8-2, 6-1 in SBC play. Three teams in the belt have winning records: ULM at 8-2, NMSU at 8-3 and Utah State at 6-4.

NCAA 2005

I think the coolest new addition is the "create a sign" option. You can come up with some hilarious things that will show when you make a big play. And the gameplay in my opinion is twice as good. If you don't have this game, or don't have a system that will support it, put off food for awhile and buy it! -
I sincerely hope this is not true.

Hire him...I'd love to employ the "little guy" who's looking for a chance.

The "mighty" Longhorns lost 3-2 to Cal State Fullerton in the College World Series giving the Titans the championship! Now if we can just put one more chink in their armor come football season. Congrats to the Titans! to the Longhorns!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5085797/?GT1=3391 Yes, it is from Boise Idaho. No, I don't think it has anything to do with their national prestige or ability to fill Fouts.

Just thought I'd change the subject matter on the board a little. Of course, if you absolutely have to, you can also post what color you think Scott Hall or Andrew Smith would pick and whether or not choosing one color over the other would give us a significant perception edge nationally. Logo talk though is limited to those choosing either green or white.

I am becoming a big film enthusiast...I see movies for free with the badge...and I highly, highly recommend Troy, unless you want something true to the Illiad. If you want action, a good story and great acting then go see it. Van Helsing could have been a total bust but it was actually quite too. And, if you can stomach buying the ticket face to face with the clerk, Mean Girls wasn't all bad either...but this is one you'll probably want to see only if you get in free or see it on DVD. As for movies not newly released, check out: 1)Reservoir Dogs...really bloody but like all Tarantino flicks some great dialogue. 2)Momento...strange, but really good I thought. 3)Goodfellas 4)Identity...John Cusack is one of my favorites and this movie has a great twist 5)The Story of Us...I recommend this one only because I get married in a matter of two weeks or so and this movie reminds me soooo much of my fiance and I. I think any married couple will see a little truth in it.

Wow! I didn't know all of this great stuff was happening. I also didn't know that a medic from Iowa would be privvy to things that are happening all across Iraq and not just where he is stationed...unless of course he was given these "numbers" for a reason. I wonder, is there a media conglomerate so liberal and so powerful that they could control all facts, all photos, and give them a liberal spin? The "liberal media" idea is about as tired and wrongheaded as the idea that the entire Republican party is controlled by the conservative christian coalition...either way it's a way to paint facts with a tainted brush. I think all of these things are great...and as long as we keep our soldiers there things will continue to be great. Unless, though, some of our soldiers take up permanent residence there things will not stay this way. The stability of the middle east cannot be achieved and maintained in a few years...when Bush says "we will stay as long as it takes" just understand that this statement is open ended for a reason. And, again, our current regime...I mean administration, my bad...wants to bury their every mistake around election time for what reason?

While we're on the subject of manipulating our freedoms let's discuss the manipulation of what the American people think. Why were images of a plane flying into the world trade center shown over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over while images of American attrocities against Iraqi detainees were originally suppressed? Could it be that only our American feeling of blind patriotism could sustain four more years of a dishonest President? Why has the "war on terrorism" essentially meant that Mr. Bush has had unlimited license to attack anyone Arab and scary that he sees fit...all the while never establishing ANY kind of link between the different groups we've attacked and the ones who attacked New York? Which is more damaging, a society where we see a breast for half a second or one where our leaders lie blatantly for hours on end. If you ask me to vote for Bush or anyone but...I'll take anyone but.

Okie State taking on Criminals for BBall
emmitt01 replied to untbowler's topic in Mean Green Basketball
``I feel like Oklahoma State is getting a great kid and a great player, and he's getting a great coach and a great situation,'' Moon said. If you really believed this why did you kick him off of YOUR team? -
Just think, it could soon be said that we took the eventual champion to double overtime. Why does that make is sting just a little more?
