  1. This is hilarious. SMU is about to give the ACC access to the DFW market, not get paid for it…and then watch as the ACC folds over the next few years.
  2. Not to worry, because I honestly doubt this guy speaks for Oregon State (or anyone besides himself for that matter).
  3. If we did that, I would cancel season tickets and demand the AD be fired. The ACC won't be there, at least not in anything close to its current form, by the time those 5-7 years are up...likely not even for the next 3.
  4. To keep it interesting, yes.
  5. Interesting. Does it change your answer at all if the P5 conference is the SEC or Big10?
  6. If you could choose either of the following (and only ONE so save the “both” answers), which would you choose: 1) Stay in the AAC and win 3 of the next 5 conference titles, with one of the years ending in the national championship game 2) Join a “Power 5” conference and have a 5 year run where we win 2 games a year
  7. Confirmed where? Not saying it isn't true, but where is the source?
  8. I’m with you, with one crucial point of clarification. We failed to get rid of Dodge, McCarney, and Littrel because it was financially difficult to buy them out…and we had FAR MORE people demanding we get rid of them than we had people giving to the MGSF and buying season tickets. Instead we sat around hoping a few big money donors would bail us out. I am not a rich man, by any stretch. But if every person bitching that we haven’t done enough to position ourselves for advancement gave at just my level…we’d be the #1 candidate to move up from the AAC guaranteed. We have far too many people who have for years had a “I’ll give if” or “I’ll attend if” attitude…and are now actually confused that we are in the spot we are in.
  9. Simple. Fans that are committed to coming TO SEE NORTH TEXAS because North Texas is playing. Not because pf the opponent, not because of the stadium, not because it’s a late game or early game, not because it’s hot or cold, or because of some random promotion…we will sell out when our “fans” are committed to being there every time North Texas takes the field.
  10. No, I just think we can’t have it both ways. Either we “embrace our history” or don’t get mad when people refer to us by a name we literally wear across our chests
  11. For years now we have lamented that sportscasters can’t get our name right when they call us “North Texas State”, and hate when SMU calls us “NTSU”. But we sell this t-shirt (pictured below) at the stadium shop and love this design when we see it our head coach in an interview. 🤔 🤔
  12. This is a great article. Now I wonder if the author can explain how Texas, who has every possible advantage, has a perpetual mantra of “this year we’re back…no, for real this time”
  13. This one? Or this one? Or did you mean this one?
  14. To add to this. 1. Do you rent or buy? 2. Thoughts on helmet stickers? 3. Nilla Wafer....cracker or cookie?
  15. Let's not fall too much in love with the idea of Oregon State and Washington State coming to the AAC. "If Cal and Stanford are accepted into the ACC -- a possibility that hit roadblocks Wednesday evening -- there is a widespread expectation that Oregon State and Washington State would move to the MWC, sources told ESPN." Mountain West mulls next move as ACC decides on Cal, Stanford - ESPN
  16. I love that Cowlishaw knocks Arizona and Arizona for lack of top 20 football finishes…but somehow forgets that Arizona has a national title, national title runner-up and four NCAA Final Fours (and multiple Elite 8’s) in basketball. Remind me, when was SMU’s last Final Four or Elite 8 appearance?
  17. This is twice you’ve alluded to some kind of “insider” information that leads you to believe the ACC expansion is still a go…either post it or stop this nonsense
