  1. Justin Padron. I know he's not playing, and he may well redshirt--but man, I love his attitude.
  2. Mr. Williams, if you are who I think you are, I believe we had a class or two together. It seems the Green Brigade (prior to your tenure) has had a reputation of unprofessionalism in sloppy field entrances, etc. I appreciate your taking the time to answer, and am thankful for someone who takes pride enough in the Green Brigade to care when someone makes a comment. 3. Okay--I don't think anyone is calling for Todd Dodge's head. I am confident that he is the man for our program. But there is no excuse for a loss of this proportion. I went to Norman and saw a #1 Oklahoma team beat us 38-10--a drubbing, to be sure, but incomparable to this massacre. Arkansas State hung with Texas tonight, maybe should have beaten them. I am looking up and down at tonight's scoreboard, and no team was beaten worse than our Mean Green. Again, I am not suggesting that coaching changes are in order. All I am asking is--Why?!?
  4. I thought we scored 14 in that game. But I've slept since then.
  5. I'm pretty sure this was worse than either of those.
  6. Talk about drinking the green Kool Aid!
  7. Well, since Dodge said eight receivers will play every game; Dibrell, Lewis, and Breece Johnson should all see a good amount of playing time being on the eight receiver two-deep. I wouldn't expect Vizza to get playing time until and unless it gets to the point we are obviously not going to win. Or once we've got them solidly put away.
  8. Also, I've heard that wearing the wrong shirt in Oklahoma might be hazardous to the welfare of you fellas' scrota.
  9. I thought it was closer kin than that (at least nephew), but I'll take your word for it. My bad.
  10. Talk about ridiculous . . . How can you say he is overhyped? The kid won a state championship and DOES have the stats--lights-out stats. If anything, I think Riley has been underestimated by the recruiting gurus. If he is overhyped, I would very much like to know in what ways he is overhyped, just as I would also be interested to see the list of other schools at which he would not start. The biggest recruiting coup at UNT, at least since I set foot on campus many moons ago, and you're already making him out to be a bust.
  11. The Beaver QB was Don (I believe) Shanklin, son of North Texas and Pittsburgh Steeler great Ronnie Shanklin.
  12. Coach Parker was/is a class act all the way. Coach Dodge is as well, but hopefully he can accompany that class with some big-time winning!
  13. I doubt if she is anywhere near as dumb as that answer would have you believe. For somebody inexperienced at public speaking, it is not too uncommon to freeze in a high pressure situation. I mean, seriously, what answer do you give to a dumb question like that anyways? If it's true that 20% of Americans can't find America on I map, we probably do need more maps--or else we need to give up and just help South Africa.
  14. Looks like ol' Slater had a tough time to keep from busting out laughing.
  15. Just amazing. Even better than I expected.
  16. Our defense stymies the OU offense in the first half. (Those interceptions Meager threw the other day were attributed to outstanding DB play ). One safety, two interceptions returned for touchdowns, Meager throws one TD, and Deavin Cox runs for one. Final score: UNT 33 OU 24
  17. I think you just put a smile on a lot of faces--Thanks, Rick!
  18. You say that like it's an afterthought. But you bring up some things worth noting--who knows? Maybe we can make it two in a row. Thanks for the synopsis.
  19. Now that just might be the post of the year.
  20. I think the AC/DC works pretty good. "TNT" would be good, or maybe "For Those About to Rock." Me, I'd be happy if they came up with a cool intro for the band to play before launching into the fight song.
  21. You might note that the ACC wants to play in the N.O. Bowl. Sure, the fact that it's in N.O. is probably a bigger draw to them than the fact that it features a Sun Belt opponent, but nonetheless . . .
  22. We talked about this before, but apparently the idea died Link to thread
  23. From Dennis Dodd at CBS Sportsline.com Link to full story
