"Uninspired" isn't the word I would use. It was a fairly aggressive, high-risk/high-reward kind of hire. He did some very nice things on the offensive side of the ball. His DC hire looks questionable at best, and one bad hire can undo a lot of good. But maybe Caponi can get things moving in the right direction this year. If so, we could realistically be an AAC contender in '25. Probably not what a lot of people were hoping for when we replaced a coach who may well have been able to do the same, but I'll take it if it works out that way.

Pretty sure he was mostly just a kickoff specialist at Baylor. So without doing a quick search, I am confident that he kicked more FGs at NT than he did at Baylor. And I imagine he will be primarily referred to as a draft prospect from North Texas.

There's not a chance the B1G takes Louisville. Even the Big XII passed up on Louisville because of their lacking academic reputation.

I don't know that there has been an actual study done on the subject, but I have definitely seen comments where a recruit mentions how early a team starts "showing him love" as a big factor in why he chose that school.

Just my personal feelings here, but I think that a player who finishes his career at NT could still be a strong contender for HOF if he puts in two HOF-worthy seasons here. Maybe someone who make ridiculous contributions here then transfers elsewhere could be considered; but that would have to be a major strike against him, to say the least.

Do you really think they'll make money off of this? I am sure there will be students who would like to go who won't be able to afford to go, and I'm sorry about that. But I would imagine plenty of college students these days spend more than $50 on a day's worth of recreation and amusement.

I think "wite receivers" is supposed to be the tipoff. If they can play, apply themselves in the classroom, and represent my alma mater well, I don't remotely care how light or dark their skin tone happens to be.

No, nobody here knows it. It makes a lot of sense, but no one close to the situation has said anything to indicate he is going to TS-SM.
