I'm a bit concerned about our ability to rebound when we play teams with bigger forwards. We have a scrappy bunch, which will help, but I think we'll miss Wooden and Williams' size and hands around the basket. But MAN, do our guards look good!! I'm looking forward to a VERY entertaining season!

I sat in the middle of the bleachers. I didn't have as bad an experience as the the rest of the people in this thread. I was on the edge of the Pit Crew folks and the old folks. It was rather entertaining to watch the old folks trying to get the Pit Crew to sit down. I thought there was a great atmosphere for the game...the band was awesomely loud, and the fans got very loud at some points...especially when Howerton went on his run. But yeah, I would hate it if every game was played there. But for one night, the Snake Pit seemed really special. When I look back at the 5 years of UNT basketball I've been able to watch, this night will be a memory that will stick out in my mind.

He thanked the students for voting for the new stadium. He talked a little about the bad shape Fouts was in. He then talked about how much the new stadium will help recruiting, the university as a whole, and the Denton area. It was a pretty short interview, no more than 5 minutes.

Channel 8 had the story in their 10 pm headlines. As for the actual story, it was the anchor reading his copy while pictures of the new stadium concept were shown and some file footage they had of UNT cheerleaders.

SMHM majors are also having issue voting (my girlfriend tried to vote Monday but couldn't). According to an SMHM student in the Students For A New Stadium facebook group, the SGA is also aware of this problem and is taking care of it.

Thought so! In that case, I am removing myself from further posting in this thread... Oh and yes, student athletes can vote.

Sarcasm is fun, isn't it? There's a difference between clean and simple and boring. The new website is boring in my opinion.

Ugh...I think I've seen better blog layouts than that. The new layout is too clean and too simple!
