It is funny that one day all of the college football sports writers and rag mags were saying that North Texas was in the outhouse! Now all of the same people are saying that North Texas will win CUSA, and are heading to the penthouse! Amazing !!! Talk about changing a horse in the middle of the stream! zi expect many North Texas fans will be changing their minds about North Texas football this season!!! Go Mean Green!!!

greengal To me all of the college football rag mags follow each other’s lead. This story was done back in July featuring all the doom and gloom as the other stories about MG football. I have been keeping up with the fall football training period. From what I have read about fall practice and talking to other first hand MG fans, the 2021 team is far better than what people may think! The talent is there, the coaching staff is much improved, and the team is responding! This team is going to win more games than what the fans are expecting! Keep the faith! Believe in the Mean Green!

I am going with a regular season record of 7-5. And a bowl win to follow! The bowl will be somewhere in a far away land! 8-5 for the year!

I am so sad that Adaway suffered a severe knee injury. Like every NT fan I wish and pray that Adaway has a good recovery and fans can see Adaway play next year! Remember that RB Deandre Torrey is a very good back too. Some of the game plans this season was for Torrey to move into the slot receiver position with Adaway taking the RB position. Great offensive idea that would work very well IMHO! So who will replace Adaway? I think Ikaika Ragsdale, Soph, 6-0, 212, is the go to guy. Ragsdale is a power back like Adaway. Ragsdale has game experience, mainly playing on special teams, so he is familiar with live action. Ragsdale will need to work on pass catching skills out of the backfield. I think he will do very well at RB. I would like to see RB Keith Jackson, freshman, to see some action just to see how he can handle college ball. But again he is a freshman. ( The only freshman I have ever seen to come into college ball and excell beyond belief is Jamario Thomas who was amazing!) Can Jackson to that? Who ever replaces Adaway in this offense will be given a chance of a life time! All the backs are rated 3 stars ⭐️! All are good players who compete! The coaches will make the decision on who Adaway’s replacement will be! I am confident the coaches will choose the best RB to fit this offense. I am good with all of the backs! Go Mean Green!!!

I remember the $MU game where Siggers ran all over and through the Mustang defense. On Pony Fans, the $MU fans were stating how much they would like to have Siggers on their team. Some how Siggers did end up on their team. I wonder if there was player tampering going on since that game?

Even though he is a freshman, I would pick OT Rayvone Crum.

Personally, I do believe coach and his staff are going to direct this very young team to many wins this season. Yes coach will be the HFC next season too. I believe the failure of the defense last year is creating all the fear of a bad team for the 2021 season. Several outside factors caused the break down, like the COVID pandemic and bad defensive coaching. The offense put up good numbers to win games while the defense failed to support the offense. We all could see that! HFC Littrell could clearly see the defensive problems. Coach then hired Phil Bennett as the DC for the team. Coach Bennett brought in defensive coaches that he trusts to do the job. Coach Bennett will make a huge difference with the defense team and put the Mean back into the Mean Green! The staff has recruited very well the last two seasons. The 2021 class is now rated the number one class in CUSA. As the classes mature, the team will get better and better. I am excited about the future of Mean Green football!.

I like the Texas only schools concept. Reminds me of the old SWC. I could see all types of TV advertising, spin off TV shows, and more bowl games! I like this idea of the Texas Conference!
