Too bad about Sam. Seems like we recruit many players that have a history of injuries. Can the coaches flip Dustin back to UNT? I doubt it! I wonder who is up next on the DE board in the coaches office?

I do not think $mu will beat us recruiting. $mu has lost 2 players who have decommited from the phonies who have reopened up their recruitment. One of these players is a 4 star rated QB. So if a North Texas prospect commits to Ohio State that is OK. But if a player commits to the phonies, then we are getting our ass kicked? I don't think so! $mu recruiting is fighting other programs for players, just like North Texas is doing. Lets see how recruiting turns out on Feb 4th, 2015.

I agree with UNT86, "The man knows what he is doing!" but many NT fans say the opposite about coach Mac! Coach Mac cannot coach, cannot recruit, cannot do this or that! Total flop as a HFC! Only Mean Green fans can give support to a coach then turn around and throw the coach under the bus! I support Coach Mac 100%! The man does know what he is doing!

CC looks good against the blue team with the 5-5, 135 lbs NG. The entire blue team looks like midgets against Pine Tree! Can CC handle real D1 defensive talent as a QB? I cannot see it. Keep him at WR or TE.

Not only the students are pissed, so are the football players as well. Can North Texas pick up any of the UAB players?

I met a $MU grad asst this past summer. During our conversation, we talked a little about recruiting. The GA told me $mu has 3 other athletes from Estonia enrolled and working out with the $mu S/C coach. These 3 guys were hammer throwers for the Estonia National Track and Field team. All 3 guys are 6-6 , 6-7, and one at 6-9, in the 260 to 275 lb range. These athletes are learning football, just like Magus Hunt. They were recruited by June Jones on one of his missions.

The Arkansas Razorbacks have a starting OL guy, # 63 Dan Skipper, who is 6-10, 316. I wonder if Jordan Murray is the biggest football player that North Texas has ever had in North Texas football history?

In my experience, I must agree with The Tasty Greek! Words of wisdom regarding North Texas active or potential fan base. The ones who are Terrible ambassadors for North Texas now. Way too many know- it- all's chiming in to over ride any ones posting or comment. I know many NT fans who refuse to even look at the GMG due to the know-it-all's.

I thought for sure many majors and mid majors would come to Apogee! Great stadium! Whole lot better than some other stadiums I know about! Nothing beats the smell of a new football stadium! Build it and they will come--- maybe?

I though about Dustin McWhorter too. Dustin committed to the Mean Green at the Friday Night Lights event. Dustin has been committed to North Texas long before the FNL event. Dustin told the staff he would play DT too. To me, McWhorter was the type of player NT was looking for! I was hoping NT would gain commitments from both players! Now, Texas State has both McWhorter and Cheathum on their side! I have some friends in Graham TX. The entire town supports their football program. I have heard several comments for my friends. I do not think NT will be able to recruit Graham any time soon. North Texas is not popular in Graham TX right now.

I am a "old" fan, that has been supporting the Mean Green teams, all the way back to the 1967 season. Now, there are 4 or 5 "fans" that will constantly rip apart everything good or bad about North Texas via the GMG. I know true Mean Green fans and very long time Mean Green supporters, that do not read the GMG web site because of the same people that throw the Mean Green team under the bus! I like to read postings from the "new" Mean Green fans, specifically like NTEX91! NTEX91 will be hear after I am long gone. The new fans like NTEX91 will carry on the Mean Green nations all over the country. Thank you NTEX91 for your support!

Well at least next spring we will have Joey Bryerly...ah, sorry , I mean Caleb Chumley, taking on the QB position too. Maybe the Riddle kid from Florida will come to North Texas to provide answers and competition for the QB position or rotation.

I hope the defense can stop the 75 yard pass plays that Indiana started and UAB copied.
