Second, many of those losses appear to be the result of poor coaching, decision-making, etc. The bar has been set MIGHTY LOW, if you ask me and I have been a season ticket holder since the dawn of time and I've yet to see (in more than 45 years of following the Mean Green) such a sloppy performance overall as I have seen this year. I like Dodge and want him to succeed in the worst way, but personally see no evidence that next year will be any different.

He has been a loyal supporter of North Texas. Two of his sons played football here. So what if he was visiting UT and giving out some advice. He is a coach by profession, after all.

He came in replacing Kylie Hill, who was injured in the game. His upside is tremendous and he is being groomed to take the position over next year. He has been compared to Cody Spencer and Brad Kassell. Considering him, Obi, Dunbar and Carey (just to name a few), we have some really nice players for the future.

In addition, we are still paying dearly for Dodge's inability/refusal to recruit legitimate defensive talent his first two years and wasting scholarships on mediocre receivers and other marginal recruits.
