Why? There is no doubt that South Florida is farther along with football than we are. Whether they "should be" is irrelevant. The reality is they are and we need to get there before we can even think about matching up with Alabama. Hard to see why some people are so upset over the obvious. South Florida would have creamed us the last few years. I don't like it, but it doesn't make it any less real.

Glad to hear that. Now I am longing for the day when a coach says that there are 11 on offense and 11 on defense that could play at that level and really mean it.

It could be a win-win situation, if Dodge can play in addition to Tune and Thompson, and IF he can overcome his tendency to commit costly turnovers.

At first I wanted to answer this facetiously. A friend and I used to have a standing gag for years. Each time that Dave Campbell's Texas Football Magazine would come out....I would comb through the pages looking for the most unlikely player I could find (usually in class 1-A or 2-A). The description would read something like 5-6 150 lbs 5.7 DT and I would label him as the super-sleeper of the year and point out that UT was really hot on his trail. As for the actual question, I hope that Michael Miller comes in and is a super surprise. It would be great to have a 6-3 260 lb DE to complement OBI and Brandon.

Why do we have to believe that? I seen plenty of players make little or no improvement in their game during their college years. Not saying that's the case with J'mison, but I see very little evidence that would indicate he is a "star in waiting" either. I say the jury is still out on him and that he would be an big question mark at this point in time.

Frankly, until I see otherwise, Riley's endurance is still suspect and the "back-up" could easily become a starter.

That was a painful game for me. Our city was under curfew due to Ike and I couldn't go home to drown my sorrows after the game. However, did stay with some good friends just a couple of miles from the stadium.

Also, it appears as though the LSU job may open up in the foreseeable future....so why get bogged down in a new program that might tarnish his record (since usually it is a struggling team that is looking for a new coach) just as the LSU job opportunity appears.

Why? For using logic rather than wishful thinking? I would worry if the did pick us.
