Something that jumped out at me was one of the announcers said they hired a new strength coach this year (UAB alum) who said that when he got there last year, the players were incredibly out of shape. Also mentioned how many injuries they were having. Might be a different UAB this year.

The AAC being a step up from CUSA is really on display tonight. UH getting booed on the way to the locker room in their new stadium.

I think the SEC is already doing that beginning in 2016. I remember reading an article about how Kansas' phone was ringing off the hook with calls from half the SEC.

The spread is simply wrong. If we were going up against Florida State I would believe it, but this is a UT-Austin team that wasn't exactly competing for a BCS championship last year and is adjusting to new coaches/schemes. It's very likely that they win, but calling for a complete blowout worse than the one suffered in 2002 by DD's team against an eventual 11-2 Longhorns? Nah.

Eddie: any truth to this being a near sellout at the moment? Are you expecting sellout with walkups on gameday?

They were undefeated in 1998. Would've been more relevant to show Boise State or even UCF, tho.

I only remember a small group hating it because it wasn't an interlocked NT. For whatever reason, that group was passionate about having that as our logo. I still remember seeing the vid of ****** and *** at the branding unveiling, acting absolutely disgusted and childish for not getting it. (*'s to protect the innocent)

I took that to mean that where our 2011-2013 uniforms, specifically, were made is going to be changing. Not that Nike is changing all uniforms. If that were the case, I can't imagine why any school would be rolling out new uniforms this year. I've seen several G5 schools roll out some new Nike uniforms, and I doubt they'd do it if they knew they'd have to change again next year. Could be wrong, though.

That 54-2 loss to Tulsa back in '05 was pretty damn embarrassing, especially considering we didn't know yet that the program was headed down the tubes for the next decade. Made hanging 42 on them as they left for the aack that much nicer.

RV essentially said on the podcast that jerseys are changing this year. He said either we'd have to refill this year and turn around and order completely different uniforms next year, or go ahead and get new uniforms this year, because the plant where ours is made is being shut down/moved (summary).

Painful loss back then. I can actually enjoy the Ohio video below now, though.
