  1. Ended up getting held up at work last night, so I couldn't make it. The next Tarrant County event is in October at the Colonial. Full event list: http://www.untalumni.com/alumni/pages/listofevents
  2. The ASN UNT games will be broadcast locally. Nothing on other CUSA ASN games yet.
  3. Netflix will have a series on East Mississippi Community College on July 29th called "Last Chance U."
  4. A new series from Amazon/NFL Films just dropped on Friday called "All or Nothing: A Season with the Arizona Cardinals". It's a better version of Hard Knocks that follows the Cardinals 2015 season. Eight ~1 hour long episodes. If you have Amazon Prime, you should check it out.
  5. I'll agree with @UNT90. Not a chance the alumni side is 10-12k on a regular basis. Maybe the first game of the season.
  6. Made a quick spreadsheet with this Fall's games. Obviously if you have traditional cable, you'll know which channels you do and don't receive. Mainly made this for people who have cut cable or are thinking about cutting. For the UNT ASN games, this spreadsheet assumes you live in DFW. For the ESPN3 games on Vue, Sony has said ESPN3 will be added, but it has not been yet. For the ESPNU games indicating "Maybe", those games were originally listed as ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU. If ESPN or ESPN2 then yes. If ESPNU, No. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1F3BMGMLhxCVrGHR46rYyYy9qiWMaLcAsitYV-I0ij5Y/edit?usp=sharing
  7. If it is, I won't ask. I'd been lead to believe athletics was responsible, but maybe that is out of date now.
  8. The only question I'm going to ask, if no one else does, is why it's so hard to find anything UNT related outside of Denton. There's a Rally House and Dick's here in north Fort Worth that have a little bit, but I'm genuinely shocked by that. I've been to some Lids in the DFW area that don't even have one UNT hat.
  9. This is the last week where you can renew season tickets and get the nice printed tickets instead of the cookie cutter ones you get at the gate.
  10. It'll show up on Twitter. Again, if they allow it, I'll be using a tripod with a Note 5. Not sure how much audio it will pick up, though. https://twitter.com/schlepnt
  11. If they allow cameras, I'll periscope the whole thing. No guarantees on quality.
  12. We brought around 10k to their stadium last year. I'm not sure they even have 10k fans.
  13. CUSA is a conference in transition with a lot more potential upside than the MAC. It feels like several schools are trying to find their footing (eg. NT), and will contribute more in the coming years. Now maybe the MAC is always ranked better in football and basketball in the future...I don't know. I do know that there is no upward movement with that conference, though. They will be in the exact same place 30 years from now that they are today.
  14. That account was created a few days ago and could literally be anyone. I wouldn't pay too much attention to it.
  15. I'm just glad the games will be back on ESPN. That first year with Fox Sports 1 was amazing, and they treated the conference like a valuable commodity. Last year, though, we did a 1:30 PM kick in the middle of September to be on Fox College Sports Central, a channel most people don't even know exists. I'd rather deal with ESPN's ignorance than Fox's horrible scheduling.
  16. There are a lot of qualities that would be nice to have in an AD. When it comes down to it, though, I want someone who makes smart coaching hires and has a good work ethic. They should demand that same work ethic from their staff. There's no reason any restaurant or shop around Denton and especially in Denton shouldn't have at least a football schedule in the window. It never seemed to bother RV's AD that volunteers from this board often did more local promotion than they did.
  17. At this point, I'm expecting Bounce TV or Cozi.
  18. It would be amazing if they could negotiate something with the teams to get local games on MLB.tv. I've not seen more than a couple innings this season due to that, and the Rangers yanking all OTA broadcasts a couple years ago.
  19. The market will determine which ones people want and which ones they don't.
  20. Yeah, them not having a Roku app makes it a non-starter it for a lot of people. Part of me thinks they're holding back releasing one because the demand is higher than they expected. Also I've heard that developing a Roku app that doesn't use their standard carousel API is pretty complicated.
  21. The Disney/ABC package allows one stream. The Fox package allows three.
  22. I would look at SlingTV personally. The Fox package has FSSW and you can watch it on up to 3 devices at the same time. The Spanish add-on for $5 has tons of channels; probably even more than what you have right now.
  23. Both Sling TV and Playstation Vue have BeIN.
