  1. This is the best setup, IMO. We don’t need a 9-3 MAC/C-USA champ in the playoffs. The format being discussed the most is the 6 highest ranked conference champs and 6 wildcards.
  2. So would your opinion on Littrell and this team change if your prediction comes true? If we beat SMU 8+ wins is starting to look VERY likely.
  3. SMU- 34 UNT- 24 After a strong first half that sees us control the clock, our defense gives up a couple big plays in the second half and our passing game isn't able to keep up in the 4th quarter.
  4. You are literally the only person I've ever seen suggest they bring this many.
  5. Lol what would be a reasonable price to you? $10? This board kills me sometimes. Always whining about lack of funding and fan support, but then complaining about paying $50 for a bowl game right down the street.
  6. La Tech probably had around 2-3K at the 2018 game and UTSA had a very strong showing last year. Maybe 2K? SMU hasn’t come close to that. I honestly don’t think they’ve even cracked 1K. They even know their showings in Denton suck.
  7. Not sure how I feel about giving fans a reason to leave their seat during the game and go to a “pub” that doesn’t even have a view of the field. I guess we’ll see.
  8. La Tech, UTSA, and Houston all bring more fans then SMU.
  9. Only UNT fans think $50 bowl tickets are too expensive lol
  10. Because we're 1-0 and our last 2 home openers vs SMU had good crowds. 2016: 24,718 (vs SMU) 2018: 29,519 (vs SMU)
  11. He’s also in his 5th year with the program. It being the first game shouldn’t matter at this point. My biggest complaint about Aune is his inability to lead WRs. He’s always putting the ball behind them forcing them to slow down or even stop. It kills our YAC.
  12. I dont feel great about our chances, but some of you make it seem like we’re playing A&M and we’ll need every break to go our way. SMU ain’t that good.
  13. It was an okay game. Only completed 55% of his passes, over threw a couple wide open WRs, was throwing behind his targets a lot, and had the costly fumble before half. If we want to beat the likes of SMU, UTSA, and UAB he has to be better.
  14. Confident- Our run game will keep SMU’s offense off the field as we grind out long possessions. Worried- Like last week, our secondary will give up multiple big plays and Aune won’t be able to make the throws to keep up.
  15. A lot of people are expecting WKU to take a big step back this year. They lost a ton of production from last season. I have it marked as a likely win.
  16. Give me 26.5K Would be close to a sellout if we were playing La Tech or UTSA.
  17. Some people here will never be happy with Littrell. Now the measuring stick is the SMU game. As if losing to the best team on our schedule will be a massive cause for concern.
  18. I guess you missed my post was mostly a sarcastic response to the people on this forum who will never be happy Littrell is our coach no matter what he does. People who would rather us lose every game so Littrell is fired than see him turn things around.
  19. I hope we beat SMU just so I can see some of y'all try to down play the win instead of giving Littrell credit. "When you really look at it SMU is breaking in a new coach with tons of new starters. No reason we shouldn't have won with Littrell being here so long. Still waiting for an impressive win!" 🙄
  20. I have a feeling this won't be true by the end of the year. I think there's a good chance UTEP ends up with a losing record.
  21. I'd put the 2017 road win against La Tech above UTEP.
  22. Predicted 8-4 so confirmed my feelings. There aren’t many teams on our schedule that will be able to shutdown our running game or smoke our defense.
  23. We’ll have lots of road conference wins by multiple scores? Sounds awesome! Where can I sign up?
  24. I know it doesn’t meet most of the criteria of a “big game”, but yesterday’s win was massive. First game of the year on the road in front of a sellout crowd vs a conference foe that’s coming off a winning season.
  25. I guess the post just confused me. Glad to hear you liked Bennett’s passion though!
