I don't think they have yet. AAC fans seem to think Navy will be in the West. Sounds like they have some kind of deal with the conference? Switch Memphis and Navy and your divisions are correct.

The grass surrounding the blue lot was in the worst shape I've ever seen. Nothing like tailgating in shin high grass/weeds. It looked like it hadn't been mowed in 2-3 weeks. This falls directly on the AD.

McCarney's record at UNT: 22-32 (15-19) LIttrell's record at UNT: 38-39 (27-21) McCarney's S&C really did wonders for his record...

Pretty sure I’ve been around a little longer than you, but okay 👍 Just pointing out its odd you stuck around through some absolute shit teams, but now .500 is cause to abandon the program.
-
Ironic you went to every game between 2010-2016 and won’t go now. Outside of 2013, this year’s team is better than any team during that stretch.

A Silver lining from the SMU beating?
UNTcrazy727 replied to Tom McKrackin's topic in Mean Green Football
What have the built up exactly? They were a mediocre program no funding before Traylor arrived. Now they're a good program with no funding. Outside of football, their athletic department is a dumpster fire. The fan base has no faith in their athletics director. When Traylor leaves they very well could fall right back to being a losing program. They have not passed us by in terms of facilities, admin support, and alumni donations. IMO, we have an infrastructure in place to be better long term than they do. -
7-5 is likely (I have 8-4), but I don't think WB can afford to bring back Littrell if we lose to SMU, Memphis, UTSA, and UAB. Especially, if there are a couple more blowouts. The lousy bowl crowd and the less than stellar crowd Saturday should serve as a wakeup call to WB that the fanbase has soured on Littrell. For that to change at this point would require a massive turnaround. I'm talking 9-3 with a championship game appearance.

what do we know about Texas Southern
UNTcrazy727 replied to southsideguy's topic in Mean Green Football
Not sure where you're seeing us as only 9.5 pt favorites. I can't find a line posted anywhere. 9.5 would be giving money away lol -
You're further away from the program, but your analysis is accurate. People here are acting like the program is on the brink of collapse, which is laughable. But acting like SMU is in a different stratosphere than UNT isn't accurate either. Sure, SMU has more talent, but there's no reason they should be blowing out UNT by 20+ every game.

Worried after thinking about the AAC
UNTcrazy727 replied to meangreenfaninno's topic in Mean Green Football
I wouldn't say 7 points is getting mauled. Especially, against a top 25 SEC team on the road. -
It wasn't an argument? A previous poster said they think we'll be 2-6 and I 100% disagree based on our upcoming schedule. I think we win our next 2 games to get to 3-1, which sets us up with another put up or shut up game vs Memphis. After that we have 2 more very winnable games (FAU, La Tech) before heading to UTSA. For what its worth, I agree with what you're saying.

Gotta be honest, not a huge fan of the flag. Feels like a SMU knock off.
-
Sure that sucks, but it’s not laying an egg. Getting blown out by 38 is laying an egg.
-
If that game was laying an egg then your book considers every loss an egg, which is insane. This past Saturday was an egg. Getting a game winning FG blocked in the final seconds is not.

Worried after thinking about the AAC

Definitely a three horse race between SMU, Houston, and Cincy. All looked very strong on Saturday. -
Worried after thinking about the AAC

SMU is poised to dominate the AAC once Houston, UCF, and Cincy leave. We won’t be the only team they blowout this season. It will be very interesting to see how we fare against Memphis. They’re supposed to be a mid tier AAC team this year. If we can’t compete with them then Wren needs to start making calls. -
We did not lay an egg that day. It was a great game with an even better atmosphere between two of the better CUSA teams that season. Anyone using that night as a reason to never come back didn’t want to be there in the first place.

The spirit shops were a joke. I figured partnering with Voertman’s would be an improvement…not so much. And I went to Voertman’s before the game and their store was no better. I’ve never seen it so understocked. I get the supply chain issues causing problems last year, but it doesn’t hold as much water now.

At least my opinion is logical and not emotional based. No one is getting fired after one loss. His previous seasons are why he has to win a lot this year. Losing ONE game doesn’t make that impossible. And I didn’t call anyone dumb. But that hasn’t stopped you from suspending me in the past…

Firing a coach after week 1 is incredibly dumb. There’s nothing to be gained from it. Littrell still deserves a shot at making this a winning season. Firing him now would just ensure the season ends in disaster. Once he hits 5 losses then feel free to start making coaching wish lists.
