At the end of the day UTSA lost by 21 and was outscored 34-3 after the 9:30 mark in the 2nd quarter. It was the same story when we played Georgia. The game ended up being a blowout. I dunno about you, but 3+ score moral victories aren't fun.

We have P5s on our upcoming OOC schedule. But instead of body bag games they're home and homes. And regardless of our OOC schedule, now that we're in the AAC, if we go undefeated we'll have a really good chance being the highest ranked G5.

WTF is this thread? For years this forum complained about body bag games and how they made it hard to start the season on the right foot. But now that we finally have an AD that is able to put together OOC schedules that are winnable we want to go back to getting curb stomped? I give up…

With the rise of the transfer portal, I don't think being well connected with Texas HS coaches is as important as it used to be. Of course, you want good relationships with them, but a coach can rebuild a program very quickly with the portal.

I make a call to Jamey Chadwell and force him to turn down $2.5mill and a chance to coach in the best G5 conference. Dude is only making $900K at Coastal Carolina EDIT: He made $600K in performance bonuses in 2021 for $1.4mill total. Still easy for us to more than double, IMO.

Okay, then don’t act like it was a massive mistake to let him finish the season. It didn’t matter. We still ended up with a great coach and have been winning ever since. The same thing can happen if Baker lets Littrell finish this season. The only difference is history has shown crowds will return a lot faster for a winning football team.

Did letting Benford finish the season devastate the basketball program? Hardly. We never recovered from Portland State? Care to explain? I remember 2017 and 2018 being our best years since the early 2000s.
