  1. Nice research! As much as I want Georgia Tech, I think New Mexico State is the most likely option. They only have 2 home games scheduled next year with 9/9 still open. And they have plenty of openings in the coming years for a return trip to Denton. Good catch with Jacksonville State. That's certainly a possibility. With ACU already on the schedule, another FCS opponent is off the table. You can only count 1 win vs FCS towards bowl eligibility.
  2. But 2 extremely beatable P5 opponents
  3. I believe I checked the Sun Belt, CUSA, Big 12, ACC, SEC, and Independents
  4. This is better than what CUSA currently has, IMO. They turned down a similar deal years ago in favor of the Stadium/Facebook model, which helped reduce the conference to what it is today. *EDIT- did not realize they were shifting ALL conference games to midweek (Tues-Friday). That really sucks for fans. I figured it was just a couple games per week.
  5. My dream is we sign a home&home with Georgia Tech and bring them in for a 7th home game next year. It would really send a message that we're entering a new era of UNT football if we hosted 2 P5s. My quick and hasty research last week showed they were one of the few teams still needing an OOC game next year with an opening on 9/9.
  6. We have rivalries with both. Just makes more sen$e to have it with SMU due to the close proximity.
  7. Rice @ WKU - Toppers by 14 Charlotte @ MTSU - MTSU by 6 LA Tech @ UTSA - UTSA by 24 North Texas @ UAB - UNT by 13 FAU @ FIU - FAU by 21
  8. 0% chance. Much better chance of Rice upsetting them in a quiet, sleepy, and empty Rice Stadium November 19th.
  9. I agree our standards are too low. IMO, for a player to be inducted into the HoF they need at least 1 all conference team. If a player wasn’t one of the best at their position while playing they don’t deserve to be inducted.
  10. If he leads us to a conference championship, he'll be inducted into the Hall of Fame in a few years. *This is not a joke
  11. Vito is incredibly dug in on his "bowl" defense of Littrell. People have pointed out to him exactly what you just said and that 2 of Littrell's bowls were given despite losing records. But Vito just plugs his ears and keeps singing the same tune.
  12. Trying to argue that last year shouldn't count as being bowl eligible is ridiculous. A bowl folded midseason. If anything, having a donor with that much sway and money should be considered a positive, no?
  13. No. He needs to win the CUSA Championship or bowl game to get an extension. And if we lose to UAB or Rice he might have to win both.
  14. Pretty sure those shirts are given out to every team once they hit 6 wins. I wouldn’t look too much into it.
  15. I think if we finish the regular season 8-4, he has to either win the CUSA championship or bowl game. If we drop another game and finish 7-5, he has to win the CUSA championship.
  16. Maybe don't draw a worm with wings lol I don't think anyone means it as an insult.
  17. I remember $.50 doubles from 9-11 pm.
  18. We're better off losing a coach that just won 8 or more games and a conference championship? Hard disagree. I don't buy this report. I always figured Littrell needed a really good year to see 2023, but to suggest 8+ wins and a conference championship isn't good enough is far-fetched. If that's the case why did Baker, Smatresk, and our top donors waste everyone's time by brining him back this year?
  19. He's without a doubt the most known player on the team. His age has gotten him mentioned quite a bit in the national CFB media.
  20. Of course they don't. Only delusional UNT fans that think we should win 9-10 games every year think we're a dumpster fire.
  21. I think this was Littrell's way of saying "If our QB doesn't throw two pick 6s we win this game."
  22. CBS has us moving up 20 spots to #75. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/rankings/cbs-sports-rankings/
  23. This is the downside of being a program like UNT. If "apple green" isn't part of Nike's standard color palette we ain't getting it. They're not going to custom make something for us like they would Oregon or other high profile P5s.
  24. But how does a reporter who has covered a program for so long get so out of touch with the program's goals and expectations? Does he really think UNT built Apogee, the indoor practice facility, and made Littrell the highest paid coach in C-USA just to win 5-7 games?
  25. They said on Twitter a grey hoodie option will be instock any day.
