  1. Littrell's currently salary is about the average in the AAC. Might be time to readjust your expectations.
  2. Some thoughts: 2016-2018 only gets a B-?!? That's way too harsh. Especially, after the '14 and '15 seasons. You can't go from 1 win to complaining about not winning a conference title in 3 years. If we're grading those years as a whole and what we were doing right before then it should be a B+ to A. 2022- Unless you are going into a season with legit title hopes (we were not), I don't see how you can say a 6 win season is a D-. That kind of grade should be reserved for 5 wins or less.
  3. Their offensive line will be healed up, but they'll be without De'Corian Clark who was part of their 3-headed monster at WR. He caught the game winning TD. And they'll still be without their best defensive player, Safety Rashad Wisdom.
  4. He never clarifies it in his articles. It's always just "UNT has been bowl eligible 5 of the last 6 years" which isn't true. He leaves it out because it blows a hole in his defense of Littrell. If Littrell had won 6 games in 5 of the last 6 seasons, his seat wouldn't be nearly as hot right now.
  5. Not really worried about the Saint Mary's game due to the flu issue, but there was no excuse for the Southern Nazarene performance. If you're a legit conference contender it shouldn't matter if you're top 2 players are out. You should still dominate a D2 opponent. Can you imagine the uproar if Littrell needed a last second FG to beat TX Southern?
  6. So its not the same exact situation lol That's a pretty damn big difference
  7. UNT beating UTSA to win conference, but then getting blown out in New Orleans by a Sun Belt team is such an intriguing situation. Part of me thinks there's no way we'd fire a coach who just won conference, but maybe? That would be 6 losses and 4 of them in blowout fashion.
  8. You're talking like he's already brought Littrell back for next year. I'm just saying it's irresponsible to say Wren can't deal with donors or fire coaches when you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about. And to say that's why he hasn't been hired away is laughable. Bitter fans are going to be bitter, I guess.
  9. Respectfully, this is just a load of wildly speculative BS with nothing to support it.
  10. If it was up to me, he would have to win out. But for Wren and the other decision makers, he probably just has to win the CUSA championship. I was hoping we had turned a corner since our play has been so much better since the Memphis game, but Saturday was a stiff shot of reality.
  11. Haha there was 3K tops
  12. According to Vito, expecting anything more is delusional. We’re going to a bowl. We need to shut up and be happy.
  13. I know what you’re trying to say, but 90% of the teams in the country would kill for a chance to beat a bad team the last week of the season to make the conference championship.
  14. Don’t worry. He’s gone if we lose to UTSA. Won’t even be on the sideline for the bowl game.
  15. Yep. And if we lose to UTSA expect an announcement on 12/3.
  16. Littrell now has to win out to keep his job. Beat Rice, beat UTSA, win bowl. Anything less, he needs to go. This second half performance is inexcusable.
  17. WKU wasn’t a big game?
  18. Do you expect us to lose to UAB? Because that's the only reasoning for wanting Rice to beat WKU. We want Rice to lose vs WKU so we can clinch with a win. Even if we do lose vs UAB, it doesn't matter what happens in the Rice vs WKU game. We'd still have to beat Rice to make the Championship.
  19. This isn’t correct. If we lose on Saturday we cannot clinch on the bye week. If WKU beats Rice and we lose to UAB then WKU could clinch a spot in the championship with a win over FAU and a UNT loss to Rice in the final week.
  20. They've also lost to two teams (FAU, WKU) we blew out. I think UAB tried to make their last stand against UTSA and could be mentally broken.
  21. Don't have to worry about close games when you blow them out.
  22. Agreed, which is why I think its likely for the 9/9 opening. We were probably working on this before the new AAC format was finalized.
  23. Good point. They still haven't scrapped their scheduled games yet. Who knows what it will look like once the CUSA scheduled is announced. I'm guessing they'll keep 4 games already scheduled.
