So I guess we're getting a movie night instead of the concert we were all hoping for. Oh well...life goes on

I usually agree with Vito on most topics, but I think he's dead wrong on his 3-9 prediction. I haven't read his reasons for the pick in awhile, but I seem to recall that he thinks the loss of a few starters on the o-line, lack of seasoned QB and no Craig Robertson will be too much to overcome. Yes, Derek doesn't have a lot of playing time under his belt, but I think he's shown enough to make us believe he can be a successful QB in the Sun Belt. We did lose some starters from the o-line, but since there were so many injuries everyone starting this year got quality playing time. With the coaching staff we have in place I'm positive we'll win more than 3 games.

Sorry, wasn't aware they just hired a staff. In that case, no, don't fire them lol lets see what they can do. I know everyone has been saying how bad the support is for years, but it's depressing to see a number like this that reminds you how bad it is. However, things do look like they're getting better, which is encouraging.

This really shows how pathetic our alumni and Denton support is. Not even 3,000 season tickets sold when we have over 90,000 alumni in DFW and we play in a city with a population around 115,000. I don't know if the AD has a staff dedicated to ticket sales, but if they do they need to be fired and if they don't we need a sales staff.

I think he was half joking, but the place is still the ugliest building on campus along with the GAB, Willis Library, and the Super Pit. I honestly can't wait until they tear down Fouts.

This summer I'm interning with the Grand Prairie Airhogs who play in the American Association of Independent Baseball. The Ft. Worth Cats are also in the league. Anways, our head ticket guy told me today that one of the teams, which I'm pretty sure is the Shreveport-Bossier Captains might go under and the league is looking for a new team to replace them. I was told that the league is looking at Denton and would try to build a new stadium in conjunction with UNT. I have no idea how legit any of this is, but it's something to keep an eye on.

I agree. I'm kinda disappointed we couldn't get our home opener on tv. I was at least hoping Fox Sports would pick it up. Seems like EVERY college game is on ESPN3 nowadays.

Maybe he's taking notes on how to make our basketball games more entertaining. The chicken toss and Lil Dribblers can only do so much...

I think its more that people don't care when you beat crappy Sun Belt teams that are ranked in the 200's. If we really want people to start really supporting this program then we are going to have to start beating quality opponents. 20 wins is nice and all, but when the vast majority of those wins come against teams that have no history whatsoever no one cares.

I don't get it. It's okay to put the SOW on the middle of our new field, but not on our helmets? I'm assuming the SOW will be on the field since it's been on there in every rendering

They may sound great, but a marching band is about entertainment and how exciting the routine is. This is the area where the Green Brigade should improve. Their routines are rather dull.

I just think it's funny how many people on this board complained about the Green Brigade during the season and how much a joke the Bleacher Report is, but now all of a sudden the Green Brigade is the greatest in the land and the Bleacher Report is a respectable sports news outlet. I respect the Green Brigade and they add a wonderful piece to everyone's game day experience, but I know when to stop the praise. Just like I love UNT and bleed green, but you're not going to hear me calling it the greatest school in America anytime soon.

Yeah...sorry, but there is no way the Green Brigade is the best band in the nation. I'm sure I'll get -1s for this, but no one of this board can say with a straight face that we have the best band.

No way A&M hires Johnny Jones. With all the money they have they'll go after a coach with a few more skins on the wall.

I think our main colors should be green and white, but black is a great complimentary color for green and white. Black should be used as an outline for the numbers or for piping.

I've heard some troubling rumors about the new uniforms, these rumors include: No SOW on the helmet. I've heard the helmet is all green with a white face mask with north Texas written on it. All green home uniforms with absolutely no black included. IMO all green unis would be disgusting. Think of A&M's all maroon unis. I was told the AD doesn't want to SOW on the helmet because they don't want people to see the logo and call us the eagles. Their REALLY trying to push the Mean Green nickname, I guess. Anyways, I hope the jerseys turn out okay!

It is frustrating that Tech made the list, but I understand where the writer is coming from. Outside of the past 5 years UNT has no real success in basketball and we've still never won an NCAA tourney game. Hopefully, the incoming class can take us to the next level

I'm pretty sure they moved it because the whole stadium can see the video board when it's placed on the south end. Also, I think Denia complained about some aspect of the board being on the wing. Anyways, this is REALLY old news.

I've heard rumors that our new helmets will NOT have the SOW. Heard this from a couple people and have no idea if it's true.
