  1. That’d be sweet. Could call it La Águila (eagle) to keep within their established brand.
  2. Because throwback apparel is hot right now. Voertman's killed it with their North Texas State Flying Worm hoodies/sweatshirts last year.
  3. Glad they realized putting the bar underneath the wing with no view of the field wasn't a good idea.
  4. I loved how much Audacity used Denton/UNT within their branding. The actual beer? Ehh...not so much.
  5. 21,500 Heat is going to be brutal. Going to kill the student attendance.
  6. I don't believe that's true. I heard awhile back the Golf program had these made as gifts for a charity golf tournament years ago. Doesn't look like Soft Stuff Creations sells any other their custom designs. Best way to make these available to purchase would be to reach out to the UNT Athletic Dept and Voertman's about placing another order for Voertman's to sell.
  7. If only it was available for purchase...
  8. No inside info. Morris didn't bring Rogers here to be a backup. For him not get the QB1 job would mean he looked really bad in practice or Ruder totally outclassed him. I don't think either of those things have happened since Spring Ball.
  9. It's going to be Rogers.
  10. I don't think anyone has used the word "fun" to describe Rice football in a long time lol
  11. That's exactly what will happen. The Big 10, SEC, Big 12, and ACC aren't going to let the Pac 12 retain their AQ status for long.
  12. So you're saying a four year stretch of losing football that saw our fanbase abandon the program and our coach fired was impressive to the AAC? Okay, then.
  13. Do you think 0 winning seasons and a 21-28 record since 2019 was a big selling point for us? We got into the American because of our location and commitment to facilities. Not because of anything we've done on the field. Nothing wrong with admitting that.
  14. Haha come on, man...2 winning seasons in 6 years is not why all of that was accomplished. All those things happened because of the hard work from Wren, Smatresk, our top donors, and probably Mosely.
  15. Kind of like what we're already doing?!? Upcoming P5 home games: Cal (2023), Texas Tech (2027), Baylor (2029), Mizzou (2030), Colorado (2033) Upcoming P5 road games: Texas Tech (2024), Baylor (2028), Mizzou (2031), Colorado (2032) Upcoming G5 series: Wyoming, San Jose St, Army, TXST, Louisiana Tech, Western Michigan We have VERY LITTLE to complain about.
  16. We play Texas Tech and Wyoming at home in 2027. Anyone complaining about an easy SEVENTH home game against a TX FCS opponent needs a serious reality check.
  17. They will bring more than most of our conference mates would/do. There will be a couple thousand people in purple.
  18. This is flat out false. A lot of schools play FCS opponents almost every year. No one cares.
  19. Why get rid of Tarleton? Texas school that will bring a big crowd.
  20. A handful of schools have done this in the past. https://rutgerswire.usatoday.com/lists/what-college-football-programs-are-selling-tickets-at-costco/
  21. Really funny how Ruder is referenced as the "transfer" when this will be his 3rd season at UNT.
  22. Will all these AAC schools still be clamoring to join once Oregon, Washington, Arizona, etc. leave? I have my doubts.
  23. Perfectly said. And if you look at our future schedules, we already have 2 home games booked every year through 2030. Any future home/home series will likely see us on the road first since we have some many road openings.
  24. We already have a solid OOC schedule in 2027 (Texas Tech, Wyoming) and 2029 (Baylor, Army) and play in the best G5 conference. These games won’t mean anything in terms of the playoffs.
  25. I agree. I don't get all the hype around FAU. They were garbage last year. People are just assuming Herman is going to start kicking ass again. I'm not so sure.
