  1. That would make C-USA a lot less attractive to join. I'd still join, but I wouldn't be thrilled doing it.
  2. No chance we have over 20,000. I'll guess 17,850
  3. I'm not sure how UNT being the only non- AQ school would reduce our media coverage, but I am sure that moving to C-USA would greatly benefit our school as a whole. We would get more money, more televised games, and more chances for our non- revenue sports to make NCAA tournaments. Seems more than worth it if the only downfall is that we get a few less seconds on the nightly news. And nothing is certain, but I would tend to believe that the C-USA would want a team where their HQ is located.
  4. On the topic of pink or other feminine colored shirts: There's nothing wrong with wearing one as long as you don't "pop" your collar or wear shorts/pants that don't match. For example, wearing a pink shirt with lime green shorts is not okay.
  5. We should be begging the Big East to take SMU. It would virtually lock us into C-USA. Sadly, a lot of people on this board would rather see us stay in the Sun Belt than take SMU's spot in C-USA.
  6. SMU has a rich football tradition dating back to early 1900s and has a hand full of legendary players. They were a member of the SWC, which was arguably the best conference in the nation during it's heyday. The decision makers in conference realignment remember most of those days and is why they get mentioned quite a bit even though they've only had a couple respectable years the past couple decades. Oh, and it helps that SMU has donors with deeper pockets than the Grand Canyon.
  7. Never thought I'd say it, but I wish we had Riley out there on Saturday. He certainly would have done better than Mcnulty.
  8. The green TX flag is UNT's official flag
  9. Haven't made up my mind on going to Rudy's or just listening to the radio
  10. Hell no to a home game with OU. If you don't think they would have more fans than us you're crazy. Plus, we'd lose by 40
  11. UNT Mean Green-27 Tulsa Golden Shower-38
  12. Haha wow...that's awesome
  13. Pretty sure the Rangers first playoff game is on Friday.
  14. Yes they do. Ole Miss did well for themselves too. Boise State...not so much
  15. Make that 1 cupcake and 2 "even" games. And it would be nice if those "even" games were against the MWC or C-USA. No one around here gives a damn about the MAC. That said, I know we'll have to schedule some MAC teams.
  16. The reason I like Galloway so much is because he seems to support all the college teams in DFW. Whenever we win a football game or when the basketball team won the Sun Belt tournament he always gives us a shout out.
  17. The PA and music sound great from the student side. Gotta get the ref mic fixed though
  18. I just don't understand how you picked the TCU game over UNT this week. Clearly, the UNT game was more attractive
  19. Admit it, SigEp blows everyone out of the water when it comes to supporting athletics
  20. No way SMU, Houston, or UTEP make a lateral move into the MWC. It isn't an upgrade in terms of football and it would cut them off from the rest of the Texas schools. As for us, it would be a dream come true.
  21. Yes, it is sad. It's really disturbing how many students will tailgate for 4 hours and not go into the game, especially girls. When you ask them why they dont go in you usually get the, "I'm gonna go take a nap and get ready to go out tonight" excuse. Pathetic
  22. Biggest thing I got from that thread: A UNT student went to the TCU-Portland State game instead of watching the Mean Green take down a Big 10 team. Sad sad sad...
  23. -7 for wanting our band to look like, you know, a marching band? Yeah...that makes sense
  24. You know what's a better recruiting tool? Winning football games
  25. The ALCS starts Oct. 8th so if the Rangers win the ALDS the FAU attendance will take a big hit, IMO.
