What would changing the name accomplish other than confusing people? I agree the Sun Belt needs a new and modern logo, but a name change is unnecessary. Start winning some big OOC games and nab a couple of respectable teams and that will make people start respecting you.

We have to start winning games against known teams that people care about. Yeah, it would be a million times better if we beat OU instead of an Arizona, but lets be honest with ourselves, that's not happening anytime soon. Getting our butts handed to us by OU in our own stadium while OU fans do their own chants like its a home game will only reinforce the belief that UNT is a bad program. The game being on TV would only make it worse. It's not worth the extra few thousand we'd pick up in ticket sales. We have to pick our battles carefully and playing a national power that's less than 2 hours away is not one we're ready for.

We are not ready to host a school like OU. Why would we want to host a school that would probably bring more fans than us and kick our butts? No thanks. Let's start getting the Virginas and Arizonas of the world before we start bringing in the OUs and UTs.

Why? From what most people are saying it looks like they're taking this alliance to 24 members. Whenever they do expand I believe we'll be one of the first.

I think it's just a matter of time on us getting into the CUSA/ MWC alliance

Thank you. Some people on this board have trouble understanding this thought. I'd love to have baseball as much as the next guy, but it doesn't bring anything to the table in realignment. Sure didn't seem to hold SMU back.

UNT has always tried to have an on-field rivalry with SMU, but the Ponies have almost always refused every time because they view themselves so far superior over UNT that they have nothing to gain by playing us. This is complete BS on both accounts. SMU might be ahead in football right now, but its not like they're anywhere close to being a top program. And playing each other regularly would increase attendance for both schools (something UNT and SMU need). Looking forward to the series starting in 2014

I don't see where I called the super pit a crap arena, but to call it "fabulous" or "one of the best" is laughable. Has there been any upgrades to the Pit besides changing the seats? Because it doesn't look like it. Honestly, I'd rather put money into a major overhaul of the Pit and build a new practice facility for our bball teams then build a baseball stadium.

The super pit is big, but I wouldn't call it a great arena. UTA's new digs looks a lot better. Just being honest

They're playing at Ford Stadium next year so I wouldn't say that for sure
