The Mavs have never had the cap space to go after a big free agent. If he doesn't think the Nets can get Dwight Howard he won't resign. Deron wants to win now and he'll have a better opportunity to do that with the Mavs than a Howard-less Nets.

I've never liked Tag. I agree with what you said about him and how he constantly makes excuses for the Rangers if they're playing poorly. I'd love to see Barnett and Busby in the booth together.

I don't think any of our QBs would be considered good by CUSA standards. DT can be a good game manager, but I still wouldn't count on him being able to beat a good defense with his arm if our running game is struggling.

TCU would beat us down like a body bag game, we just wouldn't get the big check.

As a DC fan i was saddened when i first heard the news. The only reason their doing this is to get cheap publicity so that sales MIGHT go up a little bit. I seriously doubt there are enough gay comic book readers to justify making such a radical change.

Well...he's right. I think we have a bright enough future where we don't have to constantly bring up moments in our history where we almost turned the corner because, IMO we have turned the corner by joining CUSA.

When A&M and UT celebrate their history it's over championships and victories over great teams. Not "close" losses and wins over mediocre teams. UNT has had a few good years in its history, but overall it's been rather forgettable. Not saying you dismiss all our great players, but saying "what could have been" about teams from the 60s and 70s is like obsessing over a high school girlfriend. I understand that might piss some of you older guys off, but that's just the view of a new fan or unbiased observer.

Thank you! This thread almost makes me sad to be a UNT fan. Who gives a flip about regular season games that happened 35+ years ago. As me and my friends say, "close the yearbook, man."

Aren't fan message boards pointless? I know what I said makes me look like an ass, but what I said is true. Most people outside of Denton and El Paso (heck, even in them) wouldn't think of each school's marching band as being terrific, true or not.
