I used to sit in the full seats but found I liked it better sitting on the bleachers so I could strech out and take a little nap and not have to watch the draw play on 3rd and 45. This year there won't be enough room to spread out and I won't have to watch as many 3rd down plays...I should look into better seats

I think the reason for the death penalty was to make a point but I don't think tne NCAA wiould or will go after the money programs, that would cost them to much$, easier to pick off the weak.

I agree, easy drive or flight. Would be a good rivalry, IMO. There was a series scheduled a couple years back but UH backed out if I remember correctly.

I checked out the SMU board and it is amazing to me that there is a huge variation of posts. There are some very good, respectful, realistic posts followed by real ignorant a holes. I wonder what type of slam it is to continually refer to UNT as NTSU or is it simply a case of being stuck in the past when SMU had a few glory days. I think you have to be a little behind the times to call Texas State by Southwest Texas State but you would have to be an absolute moron to call UNT by NTSU.

Just a thought....Vizza doesn't red shirt next year. Dodge red shirts his Fr year. UNT is more in the national spotlight when Dodge is a Jr. and the starting QB . Better than 1 of the pack receivers at UT.

The official art slick fom CLC has the NT Exes logo on it, therefore property of UNT. I have never sent a request for the interlocking NT without the Exes underneath, I was told that could not be done. I will today send a design request for a plain Kelly hat with the NT alone and Mean Green on the back perhaps, I'll see what happens. The big companies (one which made that cap) will strictly follow the CLC guidelines, they don't want any problems with their license, therefore UNT knows about it I will check to see if the Exes are aware. I agree! From Lubbock, Dallas or Denton doesn't matter. Almost a 1 hour drive to the mail box. I would love to see the Mean Green back in Raiderland.

Any satellite that gets reception should have the same quality but I wonder about the reception, may have places or periods when it doesn't work at all. I had a spare dish so I put it on a stand and take the receiver from home and it works fine. I do have a touch of redneck in me though.

I heard USC had a comitment from a 14 year old and he is not the first 14 year old to do so.

I am still going through the hoops with CLC, UNT and production in China before the flags are ready. I won't have any made until I get the licensing OK but hope that will be mid July. I am trying to get the cost down to about $20.00 or less. The flags are pretty thin but I think that's OK. I am also trying to get the cost down by buying in the hundreds so I hope the Mean Green Nation won't let me down. More when available, Todd

I agree with your post. There seems to be some sort of non support aura around the University that I can not explain nor figure a way to fix. I started supporting UNT in the mid 70s when my older brother started there and then followed as a student in '79. I think it has always been that way. I think it will take time to fix but it will have to fix itself. The increases we are seeing now will continue and after a few years it will be done. I am working on the flag situation. I am almost finished with the contract process to have flags done for this football season. I was hoping to get the Talons (or some campus organization) interested in a flag program where they go to business and put up flags at about $2.00/flag on Friday then take them down on Sunday. "Flag rental". At the end of the season there should be a little profit to help out the Talons as well. As long as I cover my cost we're good. Flags are great! Lubbock on game weekends, with all of the flags around town is a cool sight to see. I have approached a few businesses in Denton and offered them a free flag if they would put it up and most seemed receptive.

This story also shows that we are not alone out there. There are a lot of UNT alumni and friends, mostly quietly going about their daily lives. I hope this will stimulate a few thousand of them to start thinking about UNT and realize how a strong showing by the athletic programs will improve a great University. I wish I could start all over like I did in 1979, I would go right back to NTSU and love every minute of it the way I did the first time. I see UNT Alum or friend every once in a while out here in Lubbock but I know there are a a lot more that need to be stirred up a little. It is amazing how much community support Tech receives here at home and all with a smaller enrollment, surrounding community and alumni base. Maybe TD et al will be the spark we need to make the Texas skies glow. GMG

There was a UNT game against Alabama 3-4 years ago that was blacked out in Texas even though the game was in Alabama. Not Big 12 but still stupid.

I did watch NTSU football when Coach Fry was here and loved it. I would love to see him with some role in UNT football again...however, sure makes me less likely to like, want or buy a Mustang now with the story relating somehow back to SMU.

Dodge does a great job and the program explodes. He is getting a better job and getting a pay raise while staying at UNT. He would have to get an offer from a BCS school cause that would be the only step up at that point. If he did leave to go to a BCS school (even if he wants to go toTexas as the OC) NT is now the step up for 75ish of the head coaches out there. All in all no matter what Coach Dodge does as long as the program flourishes he has done his job, UNT is better and I will thank him for it and send him off to make his life better.

I have spent a lot of time trying to find the "correct" kelly green....reminds me of "What's my Line"..."Will the real Kelly Green please stand up" You're probably too young to remember which also makes me depressed. I try to match the thread color to the garment color. If you call and say send me kelly green...hang on to your shorts cause you will get all of those colors. I will try to get some examples out soon. Augusta Sportswear makes a good color as well as Acadia. One must see the garment before buying it and the retailers don't usually have that option, they usually have to buy a dozen.

It's pretty close to the "official" kelly green. Kelly can mean almost anything.

I like hunter as well. It's still an approved color and I still make and sell it so...go for it.
