  1. In another thread coach Segal said the following "Our home games will more than likely be played at North Lakes Park. In 2004-2005 our stadium will be complete at Liberty Christian School. SEE YOU AT THE BALLPARK! GO MEAN GREEN! ss " From the Denton city website the park appears to be off Bonnie Brae north of University drive.
  2. Western Kentucky dropped from #5 to #21 in one week, ouch!
  3. I love the nicknames on the roster, nice touch!
  4. According to Jason in ticket office they never get tickets for away BB games.
  5. See my other thread. SMU ticket and seat info
  6. To any hoops afficienados' what will the match ups be this Fri?
  7. I'm going to try and make it, i'd love to see more Green than mustang fans!
  8. I was almost swayed into checking out Lubbocks finest truck center by those commercials!
  9. Well as a UNT BB newbie fan I didn't know if our ticket office received tickets from the opponents ticket office like football or not. So I contacted the ticket office (tried NT busy for almost 2 days so thought i'd try the SMU office got right through!) Spoke with a very nice man who said typically the visitors sit in sections F,G,H at Moody (see link for seating chart) Tickets are $22 for F $12 for G $8 for H and plenty of tickets available! Call 214.768.4263 if you can't get through to the North Texas office. SMU Ticket info and seating chart See you Friday!!
  10. Looking at the schedule SMU has TCU this Sun and then goes to Lubbock Tues. to face Bobby Knights' Red Raiders. My question is this will UNT have a good fan turn out and do you think SMUs' busy schedule beforehand will help UNT at all? And lastle does anybody remember how many UNT brought last year to SMU?
  11. In tonights games the Sunbelt went 4-5 with the sole loser being.... MTSU, hope we complete the job in football tomorrow to help them with a losing weekend!
  12. I must admit until last year I was not a college BB fan, I watched the Mavs some but not enough to really understand the intricacies of the game. That all changed after going to watch some JJ ball last year. I went to 5-6 games last year and bought season tickets for this year. My question is does anybody know a good source I can read about some BB fundamentals and better understand the game? There is a wealth of knowledge on this board and i'd love to talk/watch some games with somebody who really understands the ins and outs of the game. So if anybody has read something/seen something goos on the web about basic hoops i'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
  13. I agree there is much that needs to be changed, but the key is organizing, there is strength in numbers. However work within the system. I agree with Stan there were full classes I needed to graduate but my advisor was able to get me into "full"classes with the stroke of a key. Just talk to the dean and the main advising person and they should be able to help. As far as contacting legislators i'm already working on finding the intricacies of the system to get UNT what they need/deserve. Details forthcoming....
  14. What time is the game wed?
  15. When and where are the practices and can anybody watch?
  16. As a new ladies BB fan could I get a quick review from a veterans fan perspective. I'm probably going to check out some of the games this season and wanted an idea on what to expect. I see the differences between men and women as the following 1. More defensive slower pace than mens game. 2. Less physical in the paint 3. No dunking 4. Lower scoring I'm sure there are more but those are just some that came to mind, but please do let me know if i'm off or missed anything. Thanks for the info.
  17. Thanks for the update!! I think I had seen a post stating S. Byrd had enrolled at UNT and was going to work on getting eligible here instead of going the juco route. Has anyone else heard this and can somebody confirm it one way or another, thanks.

  19. Could someone help me out with some basic hoops recruiting info. I think the early signing period is like Nov. 10 or something like that. So are the players that sign then still seniors with basically the spring semester until graduation? Can juco players sign then and come in at the spring semester with eligibility or do they have to wait until the following fall? Also is the big signing day for BB in the spring, and if so do seniors typically get so many visits like football recruits do, and does anybody know if it is JJs policy to be hush hush like DD? Thanks for the insight.
  20. Okay i'll admit sometimes i'm a little slow but I just saw that USF was a member of C-USA. I'm curious (no offense USF fans) but how did a program that's only been around for 6 years into that conference, and overall is the overall conference equal or better than the Sunblet top to bottom?
  21. Sam Byrd was the fifth but didn't qualify is now at a JUCO to get up his grades.
  22. I think as JJ has more time he'll be able to start getting more of the Indiana/Baylor type home/home series. I heard there was quite a bit of learyness regarding coming to Denton, I guess we're getting more respect these days from opposing coaches.
  23. I got the following error even after multiple attempts, help! I've seen it all over the board so it shouldn't be that big a deal. I'm trying to use the Interlocking NT w Star but got the following: Sorry, an error occured. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. The error returned was: The upload failed. Please contact a member of staff to help rectify the problem
  24. See the post in the football section, we just got some in. Shoot me an e-mail and i'll send you some pics.
  25. It's too bad, Wesleyan is having such financial difficulties. After hearing about their scholarship cutback for BB and with all the money they sank into the law school it was just a matter of time. I've heard UNT had a law school in their long range plans I like yourself am curious what lies ahead!
