Granted Greer does look terrible, but we have to give the guy a little bit of a break. Its his 1st start on the D1 level on the road in Austin. Also Thompson was a 5th yr Sr,against UGA, so he had a little bit more experience than Greer. We all know SMU is huge for us but lets give this guy a chance to do something and not automatically assume he is going to be a terrible qb after 1 game.

Flash averaged 3 pts a game, this guy has to be better than Flash. You don't recruit JUCO guys that played like Flash, you recruit JUCO guys to make an immediate impact.

We are getting killed on the boards, getting beat to every loose ball in the 2nd half. Our half court offense is terrible, we are taking a lot of bad shots and not getting back on defense. I know BYU is pretty good, but we are just as bad as last year.

Yes, this loss hurts, but far from the most embarrassing. We were outcoached, had some terrible penalties, but still had a chance on the last play of the game. 2 penalties really stick out in my mind. The first was the 1st false start penalty on the 1 yd line that resulted in settling for the fg instead of the touchdown. The 2nd penalty was the offsides on 3rd & 10 w/ 3 min left that allowed UTSA to convert after the penalty. That resulted in using all of our timeouts on defense, giving us only 1:10 left on the final drive for the potential tie.

We have opened at 23.5 favorites. Does any know if we have ever opened up being favored this much over any anyone? One thing this does tell me is that Vegas realizes we are legit.

Just getting a "win" against a d2 team is not good enough. It needs to be one that we win easily, or this team is not heading in the direction it needs to be.

For the 1st time in yrs I am not worried about losing. I have confidence in this team, our defense is for real and that right there gives the reason not to worry.

IMO, if he hasn't made an impact this year, he isn't going to...Kidsey, and Harris are already ahead of him on the depth chart and are only going to get better. Texas has done a terrible job of recruiting lately and he couldn't play for them. He is going to have the same impact of Tyler Stratford.

I see everybody on here wants us to go to the Heart of Dallas bowl, but do you think the kids want to go to the Heart of Dallas bowl? If I was a player I would want to go elsewhere. Everyone one of these kids can go to Dallas anytime they want. I would want to go somewhere away from home, somewhere different where they have never been before.

Fire Benford's ass now!! We just got swept by the worst program in the Belt. ULM has won 4 games and 2 have been against us. There is no excuse for this. Coming into tonight ULM had an rpi 303 and a Sagarin rating of 315. Preseason favorites in our divison and we are in LAST PLACE. This is absolutely unacceptable.
