FYI, as of 12-3-12, SFA coached by NTSU grad Danny Kaspar is undefeated and has a better record against Sunbelt teams than we do.

I went to the game. I left with 6:00 min. to go because I could tell we were going to lose, and did not want to watch it. - We do not block out. - We are confused on offense -- ex. Last possession of 1st half we wasted 20 of the 24 seconds trying to get set. Finally Jones forced a shot never able to pass to or receive a pick from a team mate. - Our defense seems content to run beside their man and not work to get in front of them. (ULaLa scored on an inbounds pass with one second left on the shot clock) I don't want to blame the coach, but last year with out Chris or Jordan we beat ULaLA at a neutral site and made it to the conference finals. This year, with them we lose at home to ULaLa at home. Remember what K State did to Alabama Huntsville after AHU beat us. Did you see what UT did to UTA? The same UTA that made us look horrible. Something is needs to change.

He was one of my fatorites to see at coaches clinics. Always took time to talk to us no name coaches without talking down to us. Very helpful and classy man.

I would love to see a couple of guys step up and force Franklin to the bench and only play about 20 minutes per game. But until that happens he is the guy who is playing with the most heart and hustle, and needs to be on the floor some where.

I heard Dean Smith talk once at a TABC clinic. He begged high school coaches to not to try to run his T-game offense. He stated that no high school would have the personnel to run it or the time to teach it. Also, there were years that UNC did not run it becuase they did not have the proper personnel. He said that coaches should always put the players in a position to be successful. Even if that means adjusting the offensive and defensive schemes until he can recruit players that fit it better.

I hope we see some of this movement tonight. I know Roger and Alzee will stay active. We need others to join them.

Also this quote from Alzee Williams. I thinks this says alot about the quality of coaching of boys are getting. “We need to get used to the offense and execute in the halfcourt. It’s different. Last year we were in more of a system. We have more freedom now. We are getting used to it.”

The offenses you mentioned are used against man defenses. To attack a zone one should use quick passes around the perimeter while looking to get the ball inside. Once the ball is inside you shoot, if the zone collapses you kick it out for the open shot. I never saw use do this tonight. The coach should teach/demand this. The coach cannot control if the shots go in, but he can control how the offense is taught to be run. We had lazy passes all night long, and I remember one pass into the post. From the 9:00 minute mark in the 1st have UTA out played, out-hustled and out coached us. There were very few teams we would have beat tonight. Should he be fired? I don't know. Is he responsible? Hells to the yea x10.

I woke up today. I still have a job. I have a wife and two kids that love me. I don't have to try to buy Burnt Orange t-shirts. I look good in green. With any luck I will be able to repeat this tomorrow.
