I had the pleasure of hearing the winner of the 2010 -2011 homer call of the year yesterday on bad radio. The football play by play guy for fau won for a call that included calling for a flag, calling for wright waters to come out and overturn the non-call, bang on the glass, and finally tell anyone in the press box he would fight them if they disagreed with him. I would guess "do you believe..." and the new Orleans bowl invitation as the top moments that I have heard in Unt radio history. Do we also have moments that could rival this fau call? Gmg

Kinda like Mr green on the defensive line...based on the first 2 clips... he outweighs everyone on the field by a buck fifty

Scout lists him as a 3 star, and 6'8" 281...

True... I probably deserved it... Can u explain the t-shirt reference?

I opened this link on my Droid phone at dinner with my 3 year old daughter right as the server walked up.... music volume was up fairly high too. I scrambled to turn the volume down and dropped my phone on the ground as the opening lyrics "give it to me lance" began, for all to hear. I got funny looks from everyone around me the rest of dinner...thank you for that.

Winning the Heisman? Yes, it is mentioned to exaggerate the point... as referenced in the original post. Even of he averages his k state numbers this season, he won't get a mention for a heisman ny invite. Winning a national rushing crown and marketing the holy crap out of it? Not a joke in the least.
-
Then they won a nc a year or 2 later...
-
So then the only question is what type cartoon numbers would lance have to put up to win a rushing championship? Average 250 a game? 280 a game? What did Patrick and jamario average when they won? And if he is in the running, will we capitalize on this with a huge marketing push? Billboards? Radio adds during smu broadcasts on the ticket? Bribes to ESPN for spots in the chancellor top 10 on sportscenter?

I will be very disappointed if this song is not played after each lance td.

We have this working... got a cheap receiver dvr from dtv and a portable dish and signal meter from solidsignal.com. they can talk u through the best product options. The satgo option from dtv was about 500 when I was shopping last summer. I would advise non-hd. They say getting a signal is very difficult with hd. I think we spent about 100 for dish, meter, and delivery.

Ok, obviously this is shock value, but hey, it is the off-season. The legend of lance has grown in my brainpan after the 270 yard 3 td on the ground and 35 yard 1 td receiving performance versus Kansas state... with virtually no downfield passing threat. I have never been prouder of a loss as a Unt fan... I guess the bar has been lowered too far. Anyways, with even a small improvement in the passing game, will lance be able to produce this type of performance a couple of times this season? Will turnover in the offensive line prevent these game performances from happening? If lance does give it to me/us, can we possibly have a third rushing title? Will we be able to capitalize by marketing this type of accomplishment? I'm bored with reAlignment talk where we pump up our school and others undervalue it. A rushing champ is kind of what I am rooting for since I would expect a .500 season at best as MAC gets started in getting us the results we ultimately want to see in the new stay-djum. GMG

This is what I like to see. Big ole mf's that can crush skulls... He's gonna be a big boy at 6'7". that is some serious competition for him. you never know unless you recruit and offer. go mac and gmg

I would say we must start thinking of Troy as a conference "power". Of course, this term is relative to the conference we are in. We did lose some close games over the last couple of years under the previous regime, and it sure looked to me like the team was night and day better as far as the effort put forth once Canales stepped in. IF this coaching staff can continue to get this type of effort starting with spring ball all the way through the beginning of the fall, I believe the results will be somewhere in between. I think we will see .500 ball this fall. We will win some that we shouldn't, and we will likely lose a couple that we should win. The net result will be improvement. Not a miracle, but a step in the right direction. I bet you will see a difference all the way down to their workouts this spring. Thus ends my wild speculation about future performance. Make your donations, help recruit our alumni back to support to mean green. Full stadiums, money given, and Dan will take care of the rest. Go mean green.

Not to worry everyone, but did you see the decommit of the now auburn cb? Formerly tx tech... hopefully tech burned that bridge with warner by ignoring him for 4 months or so.

I'd say that Dodge's high school resume was unprecedented. I too was excited about Dodge, but if you wanted a true proven COLLEGE coach, this is the guy. He won where you aren't supposed to win. His overall record was below .500, but if you look closer, you can't help but get jazzed.

I noticed this a long while ago... I just get my news from denton rc. what do I care about the town of the cow? I never go out there, nor do I care what is happening out there. if I wanted to find out if anything of significance is happening out there, I'd be notified by some other method that is more worth my time.

thank you very much for the update. gmg
