Now a 3 star per scout
-
Brooks Haack, QB, 6'2" 190 4.7 Katy HS Katy, TX Per rivals
-
Uh, if we have a sprinkle of #2, that can't be good for anybody... imodium? Pepto?
-
He was much more receptive than normal. I believe they were talking about college bball teams being carried by a good or great player transferring to a lesser known program... and how it may only take one guy to put a program on the map... I just wish jub had brought up the rest of the incoming recruiting class...
-
George informing Craig of the tony Mitchell story. Go jub go
-
I would hope this were the case. Thompson has that head start on knowing the offense, and by all accounts, he has the arm and athleticism for the job. There is plenty of time for osborn to catch up. I am fine with whomever wins the job. I have a good feeling one of these guys will sieze the opportunity.
-
OR can Mr flowers run a 9 route and catch the ball?
-
Silly, that was a quote from Stone Cold Steve Austin... or was it Roy Orbison
-
Of course the wisest of investments is joining the mean green club and buying season tickets... I am sure his mom will teach him that...
-
It does seem like we are a bit WR and DB heavy in offers.... I could be wrong....I still would love to land any of these guys we offered... No matter how you phrase this, it does sound a bit on the gay side... kinda funny...
-
Kind of makes me feel like we might be playing big boy football sometime soon... gmg

La'Darius Newbold, WR, 6'1", 178, 4.6 Lancaster HS, Lancaster, TX Offer on scout, dimensions/measurables on rivals Gmg

New Dirt On Pay-For-Play In College Football
SHOSS replied to Mean Green 93-98's topic in Mean Green Football
So, there is cheating in college sports, and the ncaa has turned a blind eye to it since it makes them tons and tons of money... No way. Everything from the apr to violations to who gets medical redshirts has always made me laugh.... now I will just laugh a little louder. I wonder if the ncaa gets tribute payments/hush money to ensure the big schools can continue their corrupt business/recruiting practices... you know, like the mob? I wonder if Unt got a double secret portion of the report from that consultant on what all is needed to grease the wheels of the ncaa money machine... the public version of that report emphasized how much people need oxygen to survive. -
No disrespect, but I could not possibly disagree with you more. Seeing the same laundry that I don't care about spoiling the same fanbases year after year is just a waste of time. this year and last year I am actually interested.... if it is Kansas, Kentucky, unc, duke, or whatever, then so what. Seeing a truly happy and not an entitled fanbase win adds to the magic of the title game.
-
And then join the mean green club and buy season tickets...

Lance Dunbar for...uh...good playerman... 2000 in 2011!

Mccarney Brings New Approach At First Practice
SHOSS replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
That school to the south went 1-11 with their only win being over Texas state in June's first year ... before they won a bowl game the next year... -
OK, who is mr raines? can i get some background? is he a 2012 juco ol prospect? does this mean we still have a dt atlarge poised to suite up for this fall and visiting next weekend? if so, let the speculation begin.
-
I was excited about brooks in Feb, and I am still excited about him today. I really like the new signees coming out for spring practice... I wish I could have come out to practice and seen these kids... gmg
-
Is it just easier to pick them out because of the nametag policy... Good nonetheless
-
If we just ended up with these 3 guys, I would consider this the best recruiting class we have seen since <insert goofy timeframe here>... Monsters on Defense would absolutely get me fired up more than anything.. HOWEVER, another I'd like to throw on the pile is this kid: Scout RB Brandon Holloway (Alonso HS)Tampa, FL 5-9/165/4.37 I would rather they keep getting kids from the area, but the notion of a kid running a 4.37 sure gets me fired up. Big nasties coupled with dudes that can flat out run is a pretty decent formula for success... Given that we have a QB to get said speed demons the ball... The RB/ATH running a 4.37 makes me think of Purcey Harvin. I'm sure he will get a little bigger over the next year or so.
-
UNTLifer, I really like the fact that guys are coming to practices and checking out how things operate. Did this happen under Dickey or Dodge? I wonder if we should keep a good list of these guys too... Josh Greer - QB Brett Bell - WR I think there was a DB for 2012 also? Just curious.
-
I second that emotion... n stuff
-
Ok, got rid of dups between the lists... I didn't include this because it would make the list waaay too wide, but all but like 4 or 5 are interested in multiple aq schools(for whatever that means). Scout shows 45 and rivals shows 50. The combined list has 85 showing interest, so there weren't as many dups as I thought there would be. I took Andrew McNulty off the scout list...apparently Scout doesn't know that he is a 2011 recruit for U of NT. Anyways, this should paste into a spreadsheet fairly easily if you are interested in analyzing... or maybe you just aren't as geeky as me. Overall breakdown is as follows: -----Defense 38----- Defensive Backs 17: 3 CB, 8 DB, and 6 S Defensive Tackles 5 Defensive Ends 9 Line Backers 7: 5 LB and 2 OLB -----Offense 47----- Offensive Line 12: 2 OG, 7 OL, and 3 OT Running Backs 12 Quarter Backs 7 Wide Receivers 16 Go mean green Site Pos Name Location Ht/Wt/40 Scout CB Cavin Pense (Royse City HS)Royse City, TX -/- Scout CB Marco Toscano
