New UNT Commit: Brad Horton, Liberty Christian
SHOSS replied to good_ken's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
last year's best recruit in the nation... http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Jadeveon-Clowney-90885 Clowney 4.65...Brad Horton 4.7 Clowney 6'6"...Brad Horton 6'6" Clowney 247...Brad Horton 240 I see very little difference here... Welcome Brad! No pressure or anything, but you aren't far from Clowney's specs...Now get you some QB's and tackles for loss! Before I get railed on, it was just a fun comparison. Clowney just came to mind cause I remembered he was a 6'6" DE that ran just under a 4.7... and they made a HUGE deal out of him signing late and picking south carolina over about, what 20 offers? maybe more? Anyways, fun stuff. -

Our Football Program and the Negativity it Breeds: A Challenge
SHOSS replied to JRock's topic in Mean Green Football
If we aren't alarmed and upset at this point, there is a problem. We could go two ways with the results that we have all had the "pleasure" of witnessing... Mad or apathetic... Mad means that we care... apathetic is a bigger problem. apathetic is our alums wearing notre dame and UT and other university garb... mad is us wanting better for our school... GIVE ME MAD OVER APATHETIC ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. I was one of those that wanted to give Dodge more time until last season... then I finally acknowledged that it was time. The AD made the right choice(maybe a year too late), and we moved on. I got caught up in being tired of all the Dodge complaining on this board too... So, the negativity bothered me a ton. I have now come to terms with complaints and venting on this board. We all want more on this board. Otherwise, we wouldn't be here. When I post, I am usually posting stupid sarcastic jokes at this point... that is how I deal with my anger. When we don't have anything good to talk about, that is the direction I go. That doesn't work for everybody. The positives I see right now are recruiting and BASKETBALL! Anger is good. Keep it positive? Well, positive results will breed positivity. Apathy is the worst disease that our alums have...not the anger. -
Everybody sing it now, "GIVE IT TO ME LANCE, GIVE IT TO ME LANCE, GIVE IT TO ME LANCE, RUSH RUSH..."

UNT 77 UH 2 See, the prediction is in BOLD. Man, I'm funny.
-
We're in big trouble with JJ at this point. But him not being there hurts, badly...
-
I don't think this is true...
-
Holy crap their offense looks sharp
-
So... are you being looked at while you are at work? This looks like another good pickup... Last night hurts ever so slightly less now. WR's with hands?
-
I second that request...errr, uh, emotion?
-
case study number 2, and maybe a more relevant comparison... look at smooo(if you dare*gasp*) June Jones went 1 and 11 in his first year. They had re-opened their stadium for a couple of years, right? or was it 1? I can't remember... Anyways, even their savior had a year to begin to rebuild the overall culture and 2 recruiting classes... Look where they are now. I think we would all agree that we would love to be in their position...aside from wearing pink polos... I'll take their trust funds too btw...
-
Come on, you honestly don't think UH and every other school are constantly lobbying for the best possible scenario? Just because they aren't using the press or have some pro-pink polo dmn writer in their corner doesn't mean conversations aren't happening....
-
I read this as adjective noun...

Who Will Win On Thursday FIU vs. North Texas?
SHOSS replied to All About UNT's topic in Mean Green Football
We do offer a new PI cert at unt. You won't get away with much on our board these days... -
come on...waaaay too rational a thought for a prediction thread. fiu 31, unt 27... good game, but fiu pulls it out in the end. I HOPE I AM WRONG! Maybe the mean green cool aid(aka beer) will make me believe differently at rudy's in Allen. I'll re-edit this post right before game time.

so... we are not on the list...and not on the waiting list. things are already looking up. wow. go mean green even with the problems, listing Ohio State on here when they are likely going to win atleast 9 games this year... seems to make this not really the bottom 10... Even Miami isn't going to have a losing record, are they?
-
step 1: steal underpants step 2: ? step 3: PROFIT
-
Fixed your quote "Candidate for" is progress over definetly the worst conf... if dan can win... People will notice. Our alums will notice... Other universities will notice... Things are looking up. Gmg
-
twood be cool if they got the date of the first game right... other than that, meh

DP and pink polos, a match made in heaven. what are we talking about here? I guess this gets certain women famous for otherwise no good reason... is this football related?
