I give the students an excuse for Saturday night... It shows enthusiasm. That is what we need. Passion. Maybe they will bring more friends next time. I was trying to think about the last win I have seen, and I think it might have been the FIU 7 ot's where both teams scored in the 20's. Just awful, but we won.

I am giving you a plus one... It was a step forward for DT, but atleast the Bynes TD pass, Bynes went up and took that ball. That was a huge play by him on a forced throw by DT. Running the ball, DT appeared to choose his spots well and got it done. I think he has improved, and I think he will continue to improve overall. I don't think we have anything close to him at this point.

What we are doing right: I would like to extend some props to those in my section of the alumni side... The 3rd and 4th downs were much better with overall participation. Well done...I was a bit critical for the Houston game. My section improved this game with this. What we are still NOT doing right: 1. Staying in the freaking parking lot too late. The guys in my own tailgate laugh at me for saying it is time to pack up at 5:00 and leaving by 5:15 OR 5:30. I can't imagine how deflating it must be for the team to get pumped up to go out on the field and see the freaking stands 2/3rds empty. College football is an emotional game for these young man. If we have sellouts, maybe this will change... but this needs a culture change with us overall, students and alumns. Spread the word, please? 2. Overall attendance. It was truly sad to see only 21k show up. For those that did, PROPS! We are on the way to having a real home field advantage. For those of you that didn't show, I know everyone has stuff going on, but we really need to get those students in the stadium... RV and Mac are working on this, and I believe this is improving... I worry about the lackluster conference foes taking us back below 20k again... Just terrible. This was a BIG 10 OPPONENT. Come on. Especially one that we could AND DID BEAT! Buzz kill here... Maybe we should just paint the bleachers and concrete green so that it isn't so obvious when the stands are empty? Would that require us to commit to a green color? Go Mean Green!

Ok, I'm tired of this...sorry UNTcrazy... but this chapps me. I don't give a flying f what those folks are wearing... The band uniform thing is a tired conversation, and quite frankly, I've always thought band uniforms are COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY WORTHLESS AND STUPID LOOKING! Shorts and a matching t-shirt are completely sufficient. That was a very powerful and precise sound they have. There is no question in my mind that if there is a better marching band out there, I'd have to see it to believe it. Go Mean Freakin Green!

Michael "Stock" Stojkovic had the hit of the game to me... although, it almost brought a tear to my eye seeing the end(on the student side) bull rush their right tackle and knock him on his ars...2 times in the second half. He didn't quite get to the qb, but it was a welcome sight! Forgive me, but was that McCoy? and btw, since this is for those who weren't there, WHERE THE HELL WAS EVERYBODY? I have to give the fans around me especially yesterday props, as I believe they made a much bigger effort getting loud on D...especially on 3rd(and 4th) down. I just hoped we would have more there... Kind of embarassing to see those stands like that... but, I guess we are in baby step mode...you know, OTHER THAN THE W!!! I enjoyed the hell out of last night...and it was almost fitting that we die hard fans had to sweat out the 4th quarter. I will never forget Mac's first W here!

I think we've seen some improvement from week 1 to week 2. I "maybe" think we improved to week 3 because we didn't have a turnover. Other than that, what can you take out of a game we lost 41-0 and it was pretty obvious that Bamer was keeping the foot off the throttle in BOTH halves... just kept it a slow and steady ars kicking... 20 pts in the first half. 21 in the second. Meh. If I were an Indiana or a big "10+/-X" fan, I wouldn't look at UNT as anything but a win... UNTIL PROVEN OTHERWISE. Hopefully the boys in Mean Green will prove otherwise. Then, Indiana will look at the return game as a definite loss? Go Mean Green

almost 30k at a game where we had no chance of winning... that's not bad, I guess... even if we were debuting the new stadjum. Indiana is both winnable and from the big "10". Shouldn't that make this a bigger showing for the fanbase? darn logic...forgot to factor in the apathy factor of the money game results...

boy, if they hated Beebe, can you imagine the backlash Neinas would get bringing UNT into the big 12-X? kind of a fun idea, but come on. Now follow me on this tangent, imagine the rage by the other mid-majors in texas that didn't get an invite and we did. That would be one of the funniest days in the history of the world... UT has apparently stated that they wouldn't possibly want TCU in the big 12...I wonder what the response would be to UNT by the drama cow in austin.

*puffing my chest out* My old and fat ars would on the Alumni side! I am like 2 people. So, count me in for every game wearing Green! BTW, I need to re-tool my family's green wardrobe. How has the gear shop selection been? It was too crowded at halftime of the houston game(good problem to have). As far as a Green Out, I think they would pick a game to be an official green out when we aren't likely to have a big number of visiting fans... just my .02 on not having a green out for every game.

I did not notice the lack of conference logo... I guess I was too busy looking at the field through mean green beer goggles... Interesting... Every school thinks they will be impacted by this realignment... I guess this is just the college version of "what about me". Have you guys ever thought of FAU being impacted by realignment? I'm sure they think the same thing about us, while we see the "obvious potential" that we have with the new facilities and new coaching staff. All of this noise is making me hate college sports outside of the Mean Green. Go Mean Green, and f everybody else. I love tailgating, my new seats, and hope...hope that there are Meaner Green Days Ahead!

hamstrings are a tough thing for speed guys...and, he might be a little bit fast. just maybe. I say rest him for U-lala and duke. I'm pretty sure FIU can handle both of them. Bring him back for the Akron, Arkie State, and Troy run. They do look good, and if they can beat UCF without TY, surely they can get past duke and U-lala.

Lets just not turn these threads into a nut kicking for Indiana fans. Come on. If we have 2 idiots from the opposition posting stupidity, rise above it? They seem to have the same type of mentality as us. They have been beaten down for some time and aren't overly confident. I like fan bases that have been grounded. You tend to have fewer idjuts, and maybe it is a little bit of misery loves company type of thing. I absolutely can not wait to meet some Indiana fans out there on Saturday.

Ok, so far, we have played one of the toughest non-conference schedules in the country... Now, I'm not saying we have ANY guaranteed victories on the schedule from here on out. As we ALL know, nothing can be taken for granted in Mean Green land these days...except losing the Alabama game... Now we enter into the truly realistic portion of the schedule. Here is just the non-conf portion of the schedule coming up: Indiana: first year head coach. Lost to Ball State, hung with but lost to Virginia, and beat South Carolina State. Folks, this is truly the first winnable game of the season. They are a big 10 team, so playing on the road probably won't mess with the experienced portion of the roster...However, this is their first road game of the year. Maybe we can disrupt the younger guys on the roster with some crowd noise? Tulsa: New coaching staff also. They just lost their QB and already lost their all purpose offensive weapon... Now, I am NOT celebrating injury and problems with the law for student athletes. I feel for them. HOWEVER, these guys are not going to play against us in this game. They got rolled by Oklahoma, rolled Tulane, and then got beat by Okie State...but put up some points...33 and gave up 52 through 3 quarters... Now, if we were to win one game out of these, I think the probability is higher that we win the home game. I put it to you guys... which one do you think we are more likely to win? I will be at both games, and I can not wait to see them! Go Mean Friggin Green!
