  1. by my count, we have 19 booked...that leaves 4.
  2. I wonder why other programs haven't jumped on board yet... 5-11, 220, confirmed 4.51, benches 350 as a senior in highschool... looks pretty solid to me. Welcome aboard. I'll have to try and watch the highlight videos at home this evening...
  3. Yes, but in addition, it is getting the most out of these kids...developing them and putting the pieces in the right place at the right time to make plays... aren't there a decent number of usm players in the nfl now? that's turning these kids into solid football players... That is the key for our program. we aren't going to beat out big programs or even mid major programs right now for kids... it is all about development and coaching... mac and the strength and conditioning coach(name slips my mind right now...wintrich or something like that) are the keys...
  4. Ok ok... Is this something that every coach in the country would do in a heartbeat...pursue a better job? Yes. Did ASU and June Jones screw the smu cause a bit by leaking info? Yes. This is a GREAT negative selling opportunity for competing programs... For recruits... We'll see if we can cash in on any where we really haven't won recently... This story is nothing more than a pr spin invoking the god shield... I recognize the genius...and the humor for sure. I only hope we can benefit from their quasi black eye and take some recruits from them...
  5. They might run into a team that has Tony Mitchell...
  6. I too have enjoyed the updates... Can't wait to see these kids contribute.
  7. Can you post a twitter feed link to the board? I won't be able to attend, but I am EXTREMELY interested in the goings on of the event...emphasis on the recruit attendance... Also, I am twitter deficient...would I be able to view your "tweets" if I don't have an account?
  8. Alrighty, we disagree Lifer... This is good... While I agree with you on all positions of need(replace wr with a quality QB), I do feel we need to continue the trend of HS kids through and through. My ideal world is to get HS DT's and redshirt them every year...give them a year of eating and working out... that obviously doesn't help next year, but for the health of the program, this HAS to be his philosophy... Now, if we did dabble in the juco ranks, they MUST be mid term transfers... not showing up on campus in the fall...
  9. You are welcome! Now we all need to recruit more members of our alumni base... Go Mean Green.
  10. I added Christian Hines to your current commit list. Confirmed by Vito... I'd say we have 6 left... Lets go, 3 DT's, 1 DB, 1 RB, 1 QB...
  11. if people would buy tickets and show up to the f'ing games, we could afford him...
  12. smu commits we should be all over... Texas and Lousianna Kids... These I'm MUCH more interested in... 13. Wish it weren't on the 9th... That is my 13 year old's birthday
  14. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/recruit-search-results If June Jones is gone to ASU....rumor is announcement Friday, any chance we can take a few?
  15. sorry
  16. Could not possibly disagree with you more. He doesn't need to shut up at all...he is the lone voice out there pulling us along like a gigantic anchor. If anything, he needs to keep on going, louder and louder until word is actually passed along and RECEIVED by all those that had previously been playing the part of def ears...
  17. We are off to a good start with some beef... do we need more? Absolutely. Remember, we only have like 6 slots left... this coaching staff is doing well already with 2 DT's. I trust that these kids are going to contribute unlike previous classes where the DE's and DT's end up not making it to campus and/or leave the program etc... Times...they are a changin... I bet we get atleast 2 more DT's in this class... You'll see...trust in mac... I think we may be good for O-line for now.
  18. The plot thickens.... interesting. I guess we'll see. I think I remember murmurs of the same thing from the coaches... I almost like recruiting season as much as football season...and based on results(until this year) I HAVE liked recruiting season more... in the immortal words of Bart Scott, "CAN'T WAIT"
  19. byrd, brown, jimmerson(redshirt), and whitfield(redshirt)... McCarney also said in the show last night that they will be signing 2 RB's, and we already have 2 verbals... Andrew Tucker and Rex Rollins from Chapel Hill I think we are all full of RB's for this year's class...Hopefully we can redshirt these kids next year like jimmerson and whitfield...unless they stand out and force their way on the field... then I'm all for it!
  20. Good morning double eagle

  21. Nice review... I would like to point out that I did predict this record...however, I said we would win 1 or 2 we shouldn't win, and lose 1 or 2 we should win... We won all the games we should have and lost all that we should have... other than that I got the win/loss record correct. Vito has documented it. So what will Nostro-hoss-mos predict for next year??? Nice step in the right direction... Go Mean Green!
  22. sooo.... I think this was the most fun I had at a game in the last 6 years... Ok, because of the weather, the 2 other families that I usually tailgate with all did the same thing...stayed at home. So, my buddies and I were there without the kids and wives...We had A GREAT TIME. Yup, we had some beverage... yup, we played a sand wedge golf game(drinking game)... We stayed for every second of that ars beating and loved EVERY SECOND. I was dancing in the rain, walking around high fiving all game long... I might have annoyed those around us, but I enjoyed... Go Mean Green! Go Lance Dunbar!
  23. Preface: I am 100% behind the hire of DMAC. I think he is doing things the right way. HOWEVER: THE BIGGEST ISSUE WE HAVE IS WINNING and ATTENDANCE. This would have been instant attention and would have translated to a boost in attendance. I know our attendance has jumped a little overall, but Leach would have put butts in seats without having to kiss babys and do the other things that DMAC has to do to generate interest. I think both will translate to wins... consistent wins.
  24. Hitler doesn't care about that game... He's really focused on UNT and MTSU... as everyone should be...
  25. Breaking news...
