This is smart. By making it free, they help create demand. By requiring that individuals pick up a ticket in advance, they know how many will be riding. How many cars does the A train usually have; how may riders is that? Can they add more cars? I wonder what will happen if they "sell out".

I don't know about the Rod Rust era, but we played both OkState and UTA in the Cotton Bowl in 1981 - the one year Bob Tyler "era".. The OkState game was the most boring game I've ever been to - we lost 9-0 - three field goals. It was during the state fair, and had a country music concert afterwards, where the musicians said "where is everyone?" - the attendance was so bad. I'm still pissed that they started playing the second time ran out, before we could get a chance to play "Glory to the Green". I don't remember the UTA game, other than I know I was there, since I was in the band.

I wouldn't be surprised if they closed off the entire 2nd deck.

If we were to be in the Armed Forces Bowl, and we were to have a party at Billy Bob's, we would need to invite the cast of Necessary Roughness for a reunion. But I hope we get HOD - I would have to do some serious horse trading to get Dec. 30th off from work. I already have Dec. 31st.

Then I better call Stadia in Sugar Land... Talked to the manager, he said no. He said the game is in Time-Warner Texas (TWTX), and that isn't available at all in the Houston area, and he doesn't think that Westgreen (Katy) will have it either. He does expect to have the Tulsa game, as he does get the Fox College Sports channels.

No sign of the game on ComCast Houston.
