  1. @SilverEagle, I'm sure you didn't miss this part:
  2. Michael Martin Murphey - yes The Big Bopper - not likely, he was from Beaumont - the wikipedia page for him says he attended Lamar for pre-Law
  3. According to Wikipedia, Brave Combo formed in 1979 - it doesn't say when. I saw them at an outdoor concert on campus during the week before classes started in August of '79, so I like to think I saw their first performance, but I don't know if that's the case. They certainly played at the Rock Bottom Lounge frequently enough when it existed. I don't know if Carl Finch attended NT, but I know several of the original members did, and I'm pretty sure some of the members along the way did too. Anyway, I don't think you can talk about Brave Combo without talking about NT.

  5. if you're in the market for a used RV, check this place out - consignment sales. They just opened a location in Cleburne. The original location is in Houston, and the other location is in New Braunfels. http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/ I don't own an RV - I'd like to, at least by the time I retire...

  9. It seems that these "dating service" ads are about the only ads to appear when you start using a new browser, or you clear your cache / cookies. Then as time goes on, you start to get different ads. But... the dating ads don't seem to completely go away.
  10. I thought maybe they'd be coming to Fry St. to look for the head shop... Fixed: OK, "Some Girls" was good too.
  11. He did say "most"
  12. Back in the bad old days of the cold war, if Pravda said a Soviet leader had a cold, it was a sign that either he was dead, or was arrested. But Pravda isn't the official propaganda tool of the Russian government anymore, so... who knows?
  13. You win.
  14. This requires much more than the standard dumpster fire.

  22. What's the point of resurrecting an almost 2 year old thread with only 3 replies where the last reply was 28 June 2013?
