I have accounts with TDECU - there's a branch here in Sugar Land - and received an email announcing the re-branding two days ago: https://emails1.tdecu.org/q/13WWV3MUKyPobpF7Y34I7/wv. Space City CU is merging with TDECU, and the combined entity will be using the more marketable name. Curiously, the legal name will still be TDECU - I suspect that "Space City Financial" will be incorporated as a holding company at some point. One of the first things that occurred to me was that they'd rename the UH stadium - obviously they didn't waste any time in doing so.
