I don't think we ran a first down pass play until late in the second quarter. If that was the plan, it was a bad one. Against and agressive front overplaying the run, the best way to get them to back off is by running screen's and plays that get the ball out of the QB's hands quickly. We did neither. I also don't remember us moving the pocket once in the game. That coupled with bad line play is why Thompson was getting killed back there.

Another option to get Espn3 on your TV is to download PlayOn. It is a program that allows you to stream alot of different channels from your computer through another device that shares the same interent connection (like a PS3). Seems pretty awesome so far.

I would see a game with UT vs ND generating much more buzz than vs A&M. ND is a national team, A&M is not even close to that level. For me personally, I never watched an A&M game until i started dating my fiancee, who is in a family of A&M grads. I also may be biased because I grew up a ND fan and if it weren't for UNT they would still be my favorite team. My best friend actually offered to take me to the ND-Michigan game this season for a bachelor type party thing, but I had to refuse as it is the same day as our first game in the new stadium. He thought I was crazy and stupid...

Latest Survey Out On Obamacare
glick1980 replied to KRAM1's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Here is the definition of preventive care since you do not know what it means - preventive care - a pattern of nursing and medical care that focuses on disease prevention and health maintenance. It includes early diagnosis of disease, discovery and identification of people at risk of development of specific problems, counseling, and other necessary intervention to avert a health problem. Screening tests, health education, and immunization programs are common examples of preventive care. Please tell me how making the right choices in food consmption or personal habits has anything to do with a pattern of nursing or medical care? Prices of everything go up do to inflation and other factors, a better indicator is how much something costs somewhere else in relation to its cost here. Cuba is not a developed country, there are 42 developed countries in the world, the US is the only one without some form of universal healthcare. Your friend's experience in England does not paint a picture for the entire country, how many people in the US cannot afford to have a knee replacement they need? How is a comparision between Navy personnel who don't want to deploy and normal citizens relevant? I pass on that one, it makes no sense and is comparing apples to oranges. Do you get to make choices on your insurance now? I don't. My employer makes the choice and I have to deal with it. I guess I could pay for it out of pocket but that would just be dumb. There is no simple solution to this, but costs are skyrocketing and employers are cutting insurance altogether adding to an already 45 million people without insurance. -

Not many things you listed is the first paragraph are preventive care. Things such as yearly physicals, blood tests, x-rays and so on are preventive care. Sitting on the couch and eating bad are choices people make, making the right choice does not constitute "care". In US dollars the per-capita spending for health care in Canada is about half of what it is in the US ($3,678 to $6,714 in 2006). We spend over 5% more of our GDP on healthcare than Canada and they live longer and they have healthier babies that have lower mortality rates. Basically Canada has better health care and they pay half of what we do. Capitalism is not always a good thing and this is one example where it is not.- 11 replies

Latest Survey Out On Obamacare
glick1980 replied to KRAM1's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
One of the major problems is that people who don't have insurance can't afford preventive care. So until we live in a country where everyone has insurance (like every other civilized country in the world) people will die because they cannot afford insurance. The costs of having universal coverage will be great in the beginning, but once people are able to establish preventive care those costs will go down. Insurance companies are out to make money they don't care about people, especially in the US where everything is a money grab.- 11 replies

Court of Appeals & Obamacare
glick1980 replied to KRAM1's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
According to the article 18,000 people die per year in America because they don't have insurance. Our healthcare is already reduced quality, high priced health care. Canadians live longer than us, obviosuly they aren't experiencing the reduced quality healthcare you refer to. Elderly in England experience less health problems than here, so once again where is the reduced quality? When you go to the doctor an he see's you for a total of 2 minutes and bills you $250 dollars do you feel like you received quality healthcare or got your money's worth? -

The above is a horribly failed attempt to imply that an article written with actual sources is more biased that Kram's opinion. -

I agree with the buger part of this statement. However, for authentic mexican food go the the Mazatlan or El Matador. The three listed are not authentic, but decent nonetheless, just not the best in Denton. NY Subway is a great sandwich place and Sweetwater is a great place to eat and drink as is the Loophole. Finish it off with some Beth Maries.

Even though the article says the roster was updated, when I click on it, it has the same weights as last year. I am always so excited when it is updated, hopefully it will be done soon. -
Texas Debt
glick1980 replied to SilverEagle's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
Corporate profits have risen by over 30% since 2008, while wages for workers has risen 0%. Whether you like it or not, these corporations control the country and politicians help them increase profits while keeping wages down. -

Nobody said get rid of anything. If the choice is getting rid of social security which YOU have paid into and medicare which YOU have paid into, or removing the tax breaks given to the wealthiest 1% of americans and corporations. I choose the to remove the tax breaks. I don't really understand why people are arguing this, or why they perfer big businesses and government keep their money. Would you really prefer forture 500 compaines get richier while your money goes to fund their tax breaks? -

Just the same if there was a capital loss on the sale of the stock that would reduce his tax liability. The point was that these corporations aren't being bled dry, it is quite the opposite actually. Small business are the ones needing tax breaks, not Fortune 500 companies. -

Oh yeah your totally right, those rich people are being bled dry. Take this guy for instance... http://www.aflcio.org/corporatewatch/paywatch/case_opc.cfm What in the hell would he do without that $76+ million dollars a year he is making? He sure as hell isn't passing it on to the consumer in the form of lower gas prices. You can make the case that this country carries wealthy people and corporations. There is no other country in the world where corporations and Wall Street Bankers tell the elected leaders what to do... -

You probably contribute to Social Security tax yes? Yet you have no problem wasting over 6% of the money you earn on something that you will never see. But you do have a problem with large multinational corporations and millionaires maintaining ridiculous tax breaks while your Social Security goes out the door. It is strange, I don't even contribute to Social Security Tax yet I am the only one in here that doesn't want to see all of you lose YOUR money while rich corporations and millionaires keep theirs. You sir are a total moron. Enjoy wasting your money while rich people and corporations benifit off your social security contributions. Luckily because I don't have to give my money away like you do, I will have a grand retirement while you will probably live off cat food. But don't worry there genius your precious rich people will be wiping their asses with your money. -

Whatever keeps social security and medicare in place while reducing the national debt. I know that certain services have to be reduced, but the country also has to find additional revenue. We deal with this in local government all the time. I would be fine if they modified the Estate Tax law to exclude taxing working properties and businesses and include only the inheritance of personal property, land, and money. The thing I would most like to see is it made illegal for political candidates to accept donations from businesses. I think when government officials are allowed to accept campaign funds from businesses, they have to cater to their interests rather that those of the general population.
