It won't improve until we can catch the football on a consistent basis. There were about 8-10 passes that receivers got their hands on and didn't make the reception against FAU. I thought Thompson made the right reads for the most part and gave his guys opportunities to make plays, at this point they just haven't made them for him. I hope we get Outlaw back this week, between him and Bynes they have been the most consistent WR's to catch the ball when it comes their way.

Private - yes, small - no

Only half of the Big12 teams have ever won the conference in football, and nobody besides UT or OU has won the conference for the past 7 years....

With the exception of maybe USC and Miami, small private schools with small fan bases do not compete at the highest level, this has and will continue. Players still want to play and attend UT, OSU, OU and probably TT before TCU. TCU is Baylor, they can be good, but they won't be the best team in the Big12 every year. They probably go 8-4 this year and 8-4 or 7-5 next year in the Big12 and then that Rose Bowl win is forgotten and they will be good, but not upper echelon.

TCU just went back to where they were 20 years ago, the red-headed step child of a good conference. Do you think all of the sudden they are going to out recruit UT and OU? Not happening. They may compete for a while, but they won't ever be the B12 champion, and when they begin to lose they will fall and fall hard. Baylor was one of the better SWC teams when they moved to the B12, how many conference championchips in football have they won?

TCU will never go to another BCS bowl again....When you replace Wyoming, San Diego State, New Mexico, and UNLV with UT, TT, OSU, and OU, you can count on more than a few losses. Mark my words in 5 years they will be a losing football team.

I think DB and WR are our biggest needs. Would be nice to get some guys with speed that can catch.

I know now we rotate at least 4 guys at DT, do you need more than that? I don't know, but I wouldn't be quick to burn a redshit on a guy that is your #5 DT, unless he can really make an impact, and if he could you would think he would be out there.

You think that but which games do you think would get more attendance, yearly games with Houston, Rice, Tulsa and UTEP or games with Cincinatti, UConn, Rutgers, and South Florida?

It is pretty obvious that TCU was the most overrated team in the country this year, they are horrible on defense which is not normal for them. If SMU gets top 25 votes that is a joke.

I think on the blocked kicks the snaps have been fine, we did have one against Indiana that was a bad snap and we didn't get a kick off. Blocking is the problem.

We can't score, we can't stop the other team from scoring, and we can't even block for a field goal (that is three blocked field goals this season).

Hopefully the kid does good, but I hope we can pass the ball a little with him in there.

I was a Notre Dame fan from the age of 5 ever since I saw them on TV play against Colorado in 1985 or 86. I had Notre Dame everything, even painted my room gold, had a ND watch, ND pencils, room was devoted to ND, wore a ND shirt 3 days a week. My friend this year offered to take me, all expenses paid, to the Notre Dame - Michigan game on September 10th as a wedding gift. I told him I couldn't go because UNT had a home game that day, not only a home game the first at the new stadium. He is still not happy with me, but I would not have missed that or any other UNT game for another team, ever. ND may have been my first love, and I still love them, but UNT is my school and the school I support and will watch over any other team.

Gonna take a heck of an effort and at least some type of score from special teams or the defense, but I am going with UNT - 31 Tulsa - 27
