The best Thai restaurant and biggest whole in the wall in the world calls Watauga home. It's called the Magic Springroll, you can thank me later. I recommend the egg rolls and green curry with shrimp.

I asked Peter Weller if he was promoting the game and he told me he was telling people, "go to UNT bowl game, if you want to live."

Larry Brown thought he was going to the Big East. He would have never come here to play in the new CUSA, not that we could afford him anyway. I'm sure that he isn't happy to be losing Louisville and the Catholic schools and adding Tulane, ECU, and Tulsa. He will be gone after next season and I doubt SMU ever gets close to the top 25. They play nobody OOC and will probably be .500 in conference at best.

UNT in extension talks with McCarney, bowl info
glick1980 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Mac deserves an extension that would make his contract at a minimum 5 years. -
We are the Washington Generals.

Lots of skill position talent in this class.

Hank and George kept mentioning how dirty the team was. I have never heard either of them talk about another team like that. They are about as even as it gets for a broadcasting crew for a school.

I don't even see the game on my TWC sports channel on Uverse.

I think we may get to see these guys play one more game here after this week!

Uverse blacked out...

Bowl-eligible UNT is #76 in Sagarin, ahead of many teams from BCS
glick1980 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Sagarin rankings put non AQ schools unreasonably low normally, especially at the start of the season. It also mixes in FCS schools which makes it even more of a joke. -
So....do we light the tower, or the dumpster for an 8 point win over an NAIA school? Or both?

Question for UNT students on the ground in Denton
glick1980 replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I have just one class, but today was the most frustrated I have ever been with a teacher. After falling all over herself promoting everything UT, this dumbass then said UNT's new stadium wasn't as good as Southlake's. Then just as class was ending she suggested we all watch the Baylor - OU game to watch OU get trounced. -
If you have uverse you can add the package that gets CBS sports for 7 or 10 dollars per month. It comes will quite a few worthwhile channels.

It's already been happening since 1980. Who ever thought that if you give a bunch of rich people preferential treatment in the far fetched hope that those same rich people will create jobs they would instead hoard their riches. Every time you shop at Walmart you are supporting a welfare state. Ronald Reagan raised the debt limit 18 times. This ridiculous ploy cost America 24 billion dollars. Ted Cruz is responsible for at least half that.

I am in denton county if that matters.

I did not get that message on Uverse in Frisco. It is set to record just like anything else.

Then you know nothing about the debt ceiling. Defaulting on debt we have issued will increase the interest rate we pay on any new debt we issue, thus costing much more. Once you are in a hole as deep as we are, not issuing new debt is not an option. In your analogy, "removing the shit" does not involve doubling the interest rate on your mortgage. In this case it does. And it will cause damage to many more areas of the financial system.

It's funny that you began with 1989 as the demise of America. From 1980-1988 the national debt went from about $1 trillion to $3 trillion. Spending as a percentage of GDP was at the highest level in this period. This era was the beginning of America's trend of borrowing much more than it brings in. The extreme flaw of supply side economics which is one of the absolute worst plans in our country's history has crippled us to the point we have never recovered. Only for a brief period in the mid and late 90's have we had a balanced budget. And that period was promptly crapped on by another supply side nutjob.
