Mean Green Club 2011 Coaches Caravan
FloMoGrad replied to UNT 90 Grad's topic in Mean Green Football
Then so be it. Having an event at a luxury brand store is a good way to raise the perception of your image. Brilliant! Coach Mac and everyone else look a whole lot better standing next to $40,000 and up high end cars. Not quite as much pop at the Kia dealership. Bravo Jordan, keep it up. -
Rub Some Green On It Facebook Contest
FloMoGrad replied to All About UNT's topic in Mean Green Football
I have 3-4 great pics of crazy fans thru the years, but they're not me. Kind of d-baggy to upload those. Guess I'm going to have to manufacture something in the middle of Florida so this doesn't flop on it's face. -
Best Looking Helmet In College Football
FloMoGrad replied to UNTLifer's topic in Mean Green Football
Anybody realize Notre Dame, Army and Navy all have the same helmet except for face mask color. Florida State Alabama Iowa My top 3. -
UNT wouldn't even let me use the seal for my groom cake when the wife and I, both UNT grads, got married in 08! I had to go buy invitations at the book store and have them scanned and reproduced for my personal use. Dude's a nut, but bravo to Winthrop for going along with it. I wonder if we could rent Scrappy for the evening then head out to Frye st and have a few cocktails on a Thursday night. University cool with that?

Mean Green Club 2011 Coaches Caravan
FloMoGrad replied to UNT 90 Grad's topic in Mean Green Football
I like having one of those events at the Park Place Lexus. Kudos to the AD and whoever else was involved in setting this up. Really seems like the more and more we see coming out of the Athletic Dept just keeps getting better and better. -
I'd be dangling him from the tip of the wing by his ankle. But my daughter's only 8 weeks old, so I got plenty of time to learn discretion and discernment. Agreed, really want to climb up there and see what the view's like. Totally different perspective for sure. Pre kiddo, the wife and I liked to go and sit all over at Fouts. Endzone in the metal bleachers, student side, down low reserved, up high reserved, middle of no where. Totally changed our perception and experience of the game from our standard season ticket seats. We look forward to doing the same at the new stadium over the years.

I think this is a fascination and curiousness, not a sense of imcompetence. Like watching "How do they do it". Interested to see the process, not doubting whether the outcome is going to be as anticipated. But agreed, I think the team knows what's it's doing. First rodeo and all.

Qualifying for the NCAA Tournament does that fairly well. We've got the best chance to do that on a yr in/yr out basis from any other team in the metroplex. Helps in recruiting, perpeutates the cycle. Metroplex hoops fans turn up around tourney time. I'm all for watching us whoop our cross town rivals and enjoying the passion and electricity, but they need it more than we do.
-
We don't need a metroplex hoops tourney to let us know where we stand.

4 Players in the State Top 30 1 Player in the National top 100 1 player in the national top 25 That is not rebuilding, that's reloading with talent that should be good enough to come in and compete from Day 1. Exciting times for our two marquee programs.

WHY NOT NORTH TEXAS? -
This is another step in the right direction. Social media is free and broad reaching. Somebody's doing things right over there. Refreshing.

Mccarney Putting His Own Twist On Unt Spring Game
FloMoGrad replied to All About UNT's topic in Mean Green Football
I played HS soccer and football on that field 3-4 times a yr from 94-97. It was brutal, literally chewed your flesh off the bone. I still cringe at the thought of those hard painted endzones that were like conrete. -
Outstanding research and development here. 1st Prize.

Gomeangreen.com Is Interviewing Coach Mac Tomorrow!
FloMoGrad replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Outstanding. Now where's his golden mini giraffe -
You mean we're setting the bar higher than minimum standards? Novel concept huh. Imagine if that philosophy permeates the entire program. This will all add up come Sept. Thanks for the answer Kram.

Very good point. I thought our APR and the like had improved dramatically, or is APR and a team's GPA not necessarily related? Eitherways, sounds like the man's going about things the right way. Go to class, act like a gentleman off the field and hit anything that moves in the opposing teams colors on the football field.

Honest assessments lead to improvement. Michael S. is turning out to be quite a pickup. Good read.

This is not opinion, this is crazy talk. UConn won the Big East Tourney and held their own in conference play. How's that a Cindarella? And you're talking about Kentucky as a Cinderella? That might just be impossible. They went pretty deep as well last yr with this guy named John Wall and have 7 national championship banners in the rafters, 2 in the last 15 yrs? Butler is playing in their 2nd straight National Championship game, Only team in the history of the tournament to make consecutive trips tot he National Championship and not be rated a #1 or #2 seed. How does the #2 best team in the country from the prior yr get classified as a Cinderella? So that's 1-4 on Cinderella's. As far as Draft Picks, Butler and VCU both had Top 15 Draft Picks in last years NBA draft. Only two teams had multiple selections in the first round: Kentucky with 5 and Kansas with 2. If I wanted to watch future NBA players I'd go watch AAU National Championships. Bottomline, VCU, Butler, UConn & Kentucky deserved to be there, more than anyone else in the country, because they did what they had to do to be there. If Kansas or Ohio St was the best team in the country, they'd have won they games they needed to. They didn't, so they are not. I loved last night's game.

I'm married. Glad you like dating women. Good luck with that. Will they not see your cute t-shirt with your name on the back either?
-

I'll go super nerd and wear both, with a power glove painted green. I'd be down for a t-shirt, can never have too many Mean Green shirts, and I'd plop down for a name tag to show my wife all my time spent on here actually got me something quasi-useful.

Official Capacity Of The New Stadium Is..........................
FloMoGrad replied to SUMG's topic in Mean Green Football
I'm just happy we'll no longer have to rent generators to host a football game. I'll be smiling ear to ear come Sept 10th, proud as a new parent, ready to witness the phoenix rise, with no complaints about the entire facility. -
New Mean Green Stadium Seat Selection Process
FloMoGrad replied to Green59's topic in Mean Green Football
I just got off the phone finalizing my MGC renewal. I'm going to have to send a designated rep to help me with my seat selection, I'll be 1200 miles away, but minor details... We get to pick new seats, hot damn it's exciting. I did ask if I'm not happy with my seats, can I upgrade my donation level and upgrade to a better section, if seats where available, response I received was any time. -
I like it, crank it up, let em after each other. QB's and injuries yellow'd out, let the rest get their work in, ie tackle, hit and practice like you play, full speed.
