  1. And I'd point the cynics to my lower nether regions and ask them to suck it. Integrity above all else.
  2. I'll be making the 3hr drive from Sarasota down to Miami. Gonna bring the wife and both kiddo's. First UNT game for my 4 month old daughter out of the womb, she was present for the Fouts finale, just incubating. We're going to drive up Thursday morning and head back Sunday afternoon, turn it into a little mini vacay. Then turn around and make a bigger road trip for the Stadium Opener. "Football, Basketball!" WNNT!
  3. For the suite price I would assume it's like AAC and other venues, they get the suite for any event that occurs at the stadium. Suites by an entire space, club level is just a seat, from what I understand. ie... AAC suite holders have their suite for anything that comes thru the AAC, but season ticket holders, even in the platinum level, do not enjoy the same amenity, but are offered first dibs on purchasing their tickets for said event. Works the same for the Cowboys Stadium. Season ticket holders get first purchase right for any and all events, suite holders get access. I think you misunderstand, you get the option to purchase your seats, but Suite holders actually get their suite at no extra cost. Cowboys season ticket holders can purchase tickets to any event held there before anyone else.

  5. Iowa State wants no part of this. Never happen. Trap game for them at best.
  6. Good question. Do club and suite holders get access to their areas for non-UNT events, ie concerts, HS playoffs and the like? Just wondering..
  7. Only auto loss all yr is Bama, everyone else is beatable. Might take our 'A' game to their 'C', but beatable nonetheless.
  8. I will make the 3 hr drive to watch my team, and if you're close enough to the water that florida humidity is nothing comaed to Houston.
  9. Both are correct, they are Spot-bilt's, and Spot-bilt was a division of Saucony. Spot-Bilt was still selling coaching shoes until 2008, they were bought by Payless and then shut down. Thread jack complete. Coach looked like a player back then. Thread returned....
  10. These are our present and future recruits.
  11. Only validates what a lot of us felt already, Coach Mac was a great hire for this program and we shoud see the dividends sooner rather than later. WNNT!
  12. That makes much more sense than trying to sell the new Stadium experience down there.
  13. Imagine how many more yards Lance would have/will have when this is the norm.
  14. Wish him nothing but the best and that's a great place to get a start in the HS ranks. Congrats Nathan!
  15. Call me old school, but man I love the I formation. Anybody notice the fullback break a 30 yd touchdown.
  16. I absolutely appreciate your military service and unique perspective, its one I had not considered. I retract my -1.
  17. And it might just offer a small paradigm change for a group of privileged student athletes. These dudes workout this hard to stay alive. Literally. So after a tough workout and you head to the training room for treatment, then to the caf for some food and then your room later, all in A/C and first class facilities, these guys are sweating their asses off in the shit holes of the world, eating freeze dried crap and sleeping on cots and all the while will get no glory like a fall Saturday afternoon.
  18. Agreed and a better explanation than I attempted earlier.
  19. Good Programs use discretion. He violated team rules. That's the explanation. Dismissing your returning leading receiver, a sr, set's a tone throughout the program that reverberates all the way to each recruit and their parents and potential recruits.
  20. I think it's as bad as you make it out only if we had lost Lance. Not saying this doesn't hurt, it absolutely does. Carey averaged 3 catches per game. That's not irreplaceable. If Stratford has one more catch per game, he equals that output last yr. And we still return 2 of our top 4 receivers from last yr, Stratford and Dunbar. Coupled with better depth at QB than we've had in a while, Osburn played last yr, along with a recruited TE, I don't think we'll be as woeful or inept as it's made out to be. This year was going to go as Lance went and in my mind nothing changes much there. We still have one of the top backs in the nation which the K State defense couldn't stop with 9 in the box. Carey was the one guy besides Lance last year that showed game changing ability. Someone else gets their shot to shine now.
  21. 2.) Blue Lot, in the Bus, with steak on a stick, college football on the TV's and Crown Royal in every man's cup. 4.) I've cursed those fireworks more times than I care to admit. The lighting of the clock tower in green on a home win is odd and cool though. Just been nearly 3 yrs since our last home win. 5.) I always enjoyed a celebratory drink and smoke on the rooftop deck of Cool Beans. You could see the green from the tower lit up. 6.) Texas Tech and Baylor Wins for my generation.
  22. I had this same thought. He pays his dues, makes amends, suspended 1-2 games to start the year and makes his way back on... Hopeful but doubtful I guess.
  23. The more and more kids we get like this, the more it opens other kids eyes to the possibility of sticking close to home. Good get, kudos to the staff for staying in front of this kid and being ready when an opporunity presented itself. 2-aq's in that list of offers, got to love that!
  24. That puts our freshman way ahead of the game. 4 weeks is enough to get 18 yr olds in great shape, especially with the type of workouts Coach W's got them going thru, they're no walks in the park. We need all of our freshmen to be comfortable on campus, in shape and ready to learn come two-a-days. No time for half-stepping, some of these guys will step in on Sept 1st.
