Yep, his Mom moved to Gilmer his Senior year so he could play there A LB from my HS transfered to Gilmer right before our Junior year. He grew up with me, but his Mom moved the family to Dallas for one year. They were coming back to my hometown, but after a sudden change of heart, they moved to Gilmer.. There were a few more from other high schools in Upshur, Gregg, and Camp county that transfered to Gilmer as well. However, anytime you mention it, Gilmer people go on the defensive. Even though Traylor had a program in place for the more affluent boosters to help these kids out. He's a hell of a coach, but he's also full of shit.

It's kind of ironic because he did the same thing at Gilmer.

He's been working on his golf game and getting his fishing gear organized. I have no insider knowledge, but that's what I would be doing if someone gave me $1.9 million to sit at home.

I met his mother during the SMU game in 2020. She sat by me and my buddy. Ree was a sweet lady. She talked to us for most of the game and mentioned a few times how excited they were to be at North Texas. Best of luck Bryce!
